I have never used dithering which means these will be default values in SC 3.2.
Hint: in any technical environment, before making changes, record values so that regression is possible.

Re: Optimizing sharpness with SNR. DSO "lucky" imaging ?
Tim An Astrobin search for 'double lyra' yields https://www.astrobin.com/search/?q=double+lyra . One of them was Belgium. For my M42 HDR attempt, these are the FITS Liberator views (unstretched) for single frames at varying exposures. Trying to retain the Trapezium, I probably needed exposures less ...

Tim Research HDR techniques . A good land based explanation of HDR here https://astrotuna.com/category/hdr/ , courtesy of Brian (@oopfan). The following are 3 stacks generated using Astro Pixel Processor - 60x10s, 60x20s and (60x10s + 60x20s). For the 3rd image all 120 frames were loaded, calibrated...

Re: GPCAM2 290C Dropping Frames
SharpCap and Altair Capture both have the same underlying behaviour. In that case the problem lies with a common element - hardware (PC, camera, cable, hub), software (operating system, driver, antivirus). Have you looked at https://forums.sharpcap.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=349&p=1556#p155...

Tim
A couple of nice images. I like the depth around M43 in the M42 image.

Re: Basic Debayering question
sarg314 Consider RG GB If the processing software reads 1st row then second row the pattern is RGGB If the processing software reads 2nd row then 1st row the pattern is GBRG. This is down to the processing software. If you want to delve into this have a look at https://forums.sharpcap.co.uk/viewtopi...

Re: SharpCap Captures Folder Taking Up Huge Amount of Space
js10 I have a capture laptop with a 500Gb hard drive. My processing machine is a desktop with an attached external 4Tb USB3 drive (cost around £100). When I have completed a capture session I copy the files to the 4Tb (over my network) and process them from there. That way I never work on the only c...
