Maximum individual frame exposure in a SER
I asked this question last year in another forum but still don’t know the answer, what would be the maximum exposure time if an individual frame befor sharpcap decides to save it as a fits instead of a movie{ser} …. *I just wanted to experiment doing some lucking imaging on some planetary nebula bas...

Just wondering if anyone is running the final release of windows 11 and specifically if it’s running sharpcap ok…. I think the official date is October 5th but read it’s available now. Was going to hold off til I’m sure my Astro programs don’t have issues

Yes it was a double whammy, near zenith and long exposure, extreme example but just wanted to clarify what I was referring to, but I’m happy, I’ve taken some pretty shots during the learning process

Btw, I thought my comment about losing large portions of the photo due to the 16x9 format rotating out of the frame might have been confusing so I am just posting a photo from a couple months back to demonstrate what I meant, as you can see, by the time you straighten and crop the good parts of the ...

I got him going by downloading the driver direct from player one but can confirm the driver included in the sharpcap download does not work as is for the Neptune imx464, no idea why but the direct download fixes it

Btw… I feel like your work has revolutionized the industry, there is zero doubt sharpcap has inspired the robotic companies to develop their systems, I’ll be trying out a Vaonis Vespera in December , these companies exist because you showed them what was possible with short exposure astrophotography...
