Re: Default settings values for image controls panel

Thank you Robin, you guidance is spot on, indeed, for my QHY183C, the value 64 for R, G and B gives the correct scaling.

Many thanks again!

Default settings values for image controls panel

Hi Robin, hope you're well, quick question if you please, I've just installed the latest SDK V2018.04.24.0 in your latest update and was wondering if you could help me with what are the default values for image controls? I don't want anything to change from the SDK/inside Sharpcap, I want to make al...

Introduce a pause between frames for cooldown?

Hi Robin, How does one go about introducing a pause in Sharcpap to help "cool down" and improve noise in an uncooled sensor? Would the 'Frame Rate Limit" function serve this purpose? For example, if one sets their exposures to acquire at 1s (1fps) and then sets their 'Frame Rate Limit' to '1 ever 2 ...

Using Sharpcap to guide with your Imaging Scope/Camera in PHD2

So I think I've just come up with a new way (correct me if I'm wrong) to guide when acquiring high-speed high-gain exposures...with your imaging scope and camera!..I've been thinking about this for a while now but just had some time to test it (indoors) and I think it works ok. I'll try to explain i...

+1 for a monitored folder...was thinking of this a while ago as a way to rerun a stack.

Re: 10/12/14 bit FITS Natural Bit Depth

Thank you both for your replies, much appreciated :) Robin, I don't touch the brightness/gamma/contrast controls, so that should be ok then, no? It wouldn't mess up the multiples when dividing back by 16. EDIT: just re-read your post, so the SDK might be doing this anyway hmmm need to know how best ...

Re: 10/12/14 bit FITS Natural Bit Depth

Maybe I should rephrase my question to this: why stretch to 16-bit?

Cheers
