Re: The effect of light pollution filters on native one-shot color camera white balance

The only filter that achieved native OSC white balance is the ZWO 850nm  Sorry for all the subsequent posts, I could only fit three pics in each post. I hope to add more tes...

I'm under the impression that if you mess with those sliders, you are differentially changing the gain structure for the pixels underneath those (i.e red or blue) color filter arrays. Doing this, afaik, would change the full well depth, read noise, dynamic range etc.. in those pixels, so while you m...

Some of the bright blue stars saturated.

Re: Settings

Hi Charles, Use this feature to figure it out: https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/3.2/#Smart%20Histogram Reading the rest of the manual will help you decide which settings are best for your equipment and skies, it's very well written and quite informative. Hope this helps, Minos Also, do you mean ZWO ASI07...

Altair Hypercam 269C Sensor Analysis?

Does anyone have any actual sensor analysis data on this new camera that they'd be willing to share here?

I would be very interested to see it, as there is currently nothing on Altair's website to judge from.

Cheers,
Minos
