Re: Unguided dithering

That's really nice Dave, got that core and nebulosity with a nice balance! Keep it up and hope that our friend Robin gives us a dithering option soon ;)

Re: Unguided dithering

Hi Dave, My mount (AVX) can go upto 2 minutes unguided without giving me startrails using my Esprit 80 or even longer using my TSAPO60. I've lately stuck to taking 30 second exposures and then adjusting the gain according to the brightness/dimness of the target, sometimes I go 60 seconds and then ad...

Unguided dithering

Hi Robin, me again with more feature requests! I know it's been requested before (for integration with PHD2), but would it be possible in version 3.2 when you write the sequencer, to implement a checkbox for executing a random unguided ASCOM dither every #frames? This would be akin to what APT and S...

Re: Auto White Balance button for live stack histogram

Thank you Robin, as long as it gets close enough to only require quick small adjustments, then that would be more suitable/quicker/efficient for doing EAA with my students.

Thanks and happy holidays!! :)

Auto White Balance button for live stack histogram

Hi Robin,

Would it be possible to have an auto white balance button next to the auto stretch button on the live stack histogram?

Many thanks and happy holidays!

Live stacking of....dark frames!?!

Hello, Back when I was reading the literature and forums on how best to stack lights and darks in DSS, I came across suggestions about using the same stacking settings for both lights and darks e.g. median sigma-clipping. I've stuck with that over time and it seems to be producing nice results for m...

Understanding Sigma Clipping Parameters in Live Stack

Hi Robin, Would you be so kind as to share some guidance as to how best one can set up their sigma clipping settings in live stack mode such as: - Initial Frame Count - Sigma Threshold - Sigma Low limit I've noticed that setting the minimum values on the above shows a status that clips/rejects up to...
