Re: Automatic adjustment of the LED (QHY-174-GPS)

Hi,

Just tested various settings (SC 3.2.6433.0 32bit, W7-64):

Seems very good, there was no case with wrong/no calibration. And yes, very quick (like Tour de France :-))

Re: Capture Profile Manager: Editable Settings

Hi,

I think you are right, Robin. There is a certain risk, and editing (for advanced users) is already possible now. We could save ourselves additional effort here.

Cheers

Capture Profile Manager: Editable Settings

Hi Robin,

The Capture Profiles are a good tool. Their settings can be edited manually. I propose that the settings can be also edited from within the Profile Manager (perhaps only for profiles not currently opened in SC ?).

Many thanks

Re: Automatic adjustment of the LED (QHY-174-GPS)

Hi, what is your typical exposure time with the QHY-174-GPS ? that's easy to answer: The exposure time must be short enough to have sufficient temporal resolution over the duration of the event. And - at shorter times, the hardware restrictions occur more and more. So, if hardware allows it, shortes...

Re: Automatic adjustment of the LED (QHY-174-GPS)

Hello Jean-Francois, First of all: Thanks you for your interesting work. Secondly, the script is now very quick and works (I think) as you have implemented it. However, only in about 50% of my tests it found a calibration status like following described. For occultation work the users normally have ...

Re: Python Library Installation

Hi Jean-Francois, The rectangle (and the whole script in principle) are working now - with both the latest SC 3.2 and 3.3. Usually the script runs to it's end, however, it needs up to 3min. The results from your script are sometimes not reproducable. Also I get different results if I start from diff...

Re: Python Library Installation

Hi,

believe I was completely wrong with the rectangle ... (I used the ROI function).
Now I understand, will make some new tests later.
I'm curious.

Re: Python Library Installation

Hi Jean-Francois, with your script I made some tests (I'm not a programmer) - surprised that sometimes it seems to work :-) W7-64, SC 3.2.6421.0 pro, with GPS running, FW upgrade However, some problems: a) The rectangle selection sometimes results in things like Rectangle Selection : {X=0,Y=0,Width=...
