Re: Initial Support for Moravian Instruments Cameras

Hi, Glad to hear that we are getting there. When the programme crashed because of taking exposures longer than one second, did you submit the bug reports from the crashes? I just had a look and can't see any uploaded bug reports that match your description, but it would be nice to have them as it mi...

Re: Saving settings

Hi, The capture profiles are saved as .INI files – there will be at the very least some called '_autosave (<camera name>).ini'. One of these is created for each camera that you use to save the settings when you shut down or close the camera and restore them the next time you use it. Hope this helps,...

Re: QHY168C Problems-Changing ROI Changes Gain and White Balance

Hi, It's definitely getting to be one of those weird things – the last logs that you posted have no evidence of anything untoward as far as I could see (in other words all the values that SharpCap reads from or sends to the camera were the ones I would expect to see). I tried to write some code to l...

Re: How do I save to SER format?

Hi, It should just be as simple as making sure that auto not selected for the output format control and then choosing 'SER' option from the output format drop-down. Once you've done that just press start capture to grab a quick video and see if it works as expected. If there is no SER format option ...

Re: ZWO ASI183MC Sensor Analysis troubles

Hi, 450 maximum gain honour ZWO camera means that the gain range of the camera is 45 dB, or about a factor of 167 brighter at maximum gain than at minimum gain. That also means that the longest exposure needed by the sensor analysis is going to be 167 times longer than the shortest exposure. Your 14...

Re: FITS keywords OBJCTRA and OBJCTDEC representation

Hi,

Thanks for that info – I wasn't aware that those particular fields had to be in degree/minutes/seconds format. I will try to make that change in a future version.

Re: HOWTO Debayer Captured Images

Hi,

I think you will need to post a screenshot so that we can see what the problem is in a bit more detail.

Re: ZWO ASI183MC Sensor Analysis troubles

Hi,

What is the range of the gain control for your camera? Usually problems with the procedure failing to finish are related to cameras that have exceptionally wide ranges of gain, and it will be useful to know if that might be the case for your camera.

Re: Align Frame checkbox

Hi Bruce, It's meant to remember the previous state of the checkbox, so if you turn it on then it should be on the next time you run SharpCap and if you turn it off then it should be off the next time. However it looks like if you try to run live stacking when you are in raw mode and have deliberate...

Re: How do I use Banding Suppression & Threshold

Hi, See this thread https://forums.sharpcap.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=1486&p=7729 These controls affect all saved images, both live stacked and individual frames. You should use the same settings for darks and lights, but using them for flats is probably irrelevant as the brightness threshold will ...
