Re: Stacking multiple live stacks in DSS

In the latest 3.1 beta build it should be possible to script the capture of multiple stacks - see https://forums.sharpcap.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=393 . It looks like the exposure time is saved into the saved fits file, but in milliseconds, not seconds. I will fix that in the next beta update. che...

Re: Live stacking per X frames looped

Done in the next version.

Code: Select all

SharpCap.Transforms.SelectedTransform.FrameProcessor.SaveFrame(32, "c:\\temp\\test.fits")

Re: Different polar align results

Hi Steve, the times I have heard of this sort of problem before it's been down to flexure of the guide scope as the mount is rotated - ie the guide scope moves a bit at some point while it is being rotated. This actually means that both polar alignment measurements are going to be a bit out. What I'...

Re: Sharpcap 3.1 Beta and SX Lodestar

Ok, fair enough, then it's a good thing that it detects the camera as colour ;)

From the log above it looks like the camera is being initialized correctly - what happens next? No image? a freeze of the program? A crash?

cheers

Re: Sharpcap 3.1 Beta and SX Lodestar

Odd, that's pretty much exactly the same log as I get when I run my Lodestar X2 and that works. The only difference is that yours is being flagged as colour for some reason. That's a bit scary, as it implies that I am getting back a model number for the camera of >128 (how colour is detected on SX),...

Re: Filter Wheel and Exposure Integration

Hi Graham,

a sequence scheduling tool is definitely on the radar - I'm hoping to get it into 3.2.

Re: Livestack Mono images with filters

Hi Tom, currently no way to do the mono + filters live stacking idea you are asking about. That's some way off I think (perhaps 3.3) as it would make sense to do a normal sequencing tool for non live-stack use first. You can get back out of full screen by pressing F11 again (although you might need ...

Re: Sensor Analysis Question

Ok, what's happening there is that it is hunting backwards and forwards trying to auto-expose to a level of 50% histogram and instead of getting closer to the target each attempt is getting further away. I will tweak that with a new algorithm (interpolation) if it has already bracketed the target by...

Re: Camera Control Preprocessing Question ....

Only by using RegEdit at the moment to edit the registry. Go to

Code: Select all

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AstroSharp Limited\SharpCap\3.1
and edit (or wipe clear) the DarkFiles setting.

cheers,

Re: Sharpcap Failed to Install

Hi, from the log it looks like your machine may be installing updates in the background which could be part of the problem. The thing that is failing is the installation of the .Net Framework v4.5.2, so try installing that manually ( https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=42643 ) a...
