Re: Seriously dumb question - how to specify lat / long in settings

Hi,

that's correct – you could also specify it as 359.069 or thereabouts if you wanted.

Re: Aligning on Refracted NCP

Hi, I always have to think about this about three times when we discuss anything related to the true and refracted positions of the pole. As far as I'm aware SharpCap should be guiding you in on the correct version if you have turned the refraction correction on – refraction tends to make things app...

Re: QHY600 Binning

Hi, it certainly sounds that way if you are seeing the same bug into different pieces of software on two different computers. I would recommend working through the suggestions on USB troubleshooting that are at the top of the bug reports forum – it's so easy to get problems caused by overlong USB ca...

Re: Request for a new FITS keyword

Ah, Ok... And which setting of the top-down/botton-up is required for the image to be the right way up?

thanks,

Re: Exposure length for ser files

Hi,

not a problem I've run into before - If I set my capture up like this
Capture.PNG
Capture.PNG (32.28 KiB) Viewed 53 times
Then I get the 1000 files I ask for in an SER file. Is that how you are setting up the capture or perhaps are you doing something different?

thanks,

Re: Request for a new FITS keyword

Hi, I created a test file with the header in without changing anything else in SharpCap's FITS writing https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tK289iSnXVMmtVst3wkUuc4taGf_cTAL/view?usp=sharing Any observations on flaws in the headers welcome - The problem I have found is that different processing applicati...

Re: Misleading live stacking bit depth display

Okay, thanks - will see what can be done.

I have a feeling that it was fractional once and maybe that got lost when Sigma clipping got added in.

Re: How do I install to another drive?

Hi,

there's an 'Options' button on the first page of the installer and you can change the install location in there.

cheers,
