Re: Can I have multiple profiles for my hardware.

Hi, Currently there is no good way to do this. SharpCap has one set of settings and there isn't a way yet to set up the second configuration that you want. There are a couple of potential workarounds but they aren't particularly attractive. One would be to use two different versions of SharpCap (for...

Re: Brain icon doesn't show - I have a valid license

Hi, Oh yes, no need to install the SharpCap patch. The idea of that is that it installs a newer version of the QHYCCD DLL on top of a previously installed version of SharpCap. Right now the latest version of SharpCap 3.2 has the most up-to-date DLL from qhy anyway so the patch won't get you anything...

Re: Brain icon doesn't show - I have a valid license

Hi, It sounds like you are onto something here. For a lot of cameras White balance has values from may be 0 to 200 and 100 will be the default and 101 would be adding 1% to the blue level. It sounds here as though the white balance default might be one and setting a White balance of the two is effec...

Re: "FX: Frame Stack (10)" - Searching for Comets

Hi, There is to way at the moment to force that stacking function to reset cleanly. However that's pretty simple for me to fix – I have just added some code so that disabling and then re-enabling the stacking filter will reset the state of the filter. You may want to reconsider using live stacking. ...

Re: CanonSDK ASCOM.DSLR

Hi, When I last built the Ascom.DSLR code, the main DLL and all its supporting libraries were built into the top-level bin folder (the one in the same folder as the solution file). Try running the build.bat file in the top-level directory. The Canon SDK option is a sub option of the Ascom.DSLR drive...

Re: Brain icon doesn't show - I have a valid license

Hi, It would certainly be worth capturing a flat type image at minimum gain to see if that helps with the spiky histogram issue. You will find that you need to remeasure the sky brightness for each different filter as the electron/pixel/second value will depend on how much light gets through the fil...

Re: Feature request two cameras

Hi, The best solution here is to use two different applications – can you SharpCap to run the stacking as you suggest by picking up the files from the file system and I would recommend using PHD2 to do the guiding by the ZWO camera. SharpCap isn't going to support opening two cameras at once in the ...

Re: Brain icon doesn't show - I have a valid license

Hi, Here's a snapshot of what's the fits file that you captured in EZCap looks like when you open in fits Liberator. Capture.PNG You can see that the Bayer grid visible in the zoomed in portion of the image is even and that the histogram has three solid peaks in it (the peaks come from the different...

Ok, I will try again to persuade them that they have introduced this bug in the SDK. I will also report that the forums are not working...

Re: CanonSDK ASCOM.DSLR

Hi, I know there are some members who got this working enough to take images with it. I initially got it working, but eventually decided that it didn't seem to be robust enough to use seriously, so have given up on it unless someone comes along and fixes the bugs in the Ascom driver. Hopefully someo...
