Re: IC5070 Pelican Nebula in Hubble (SHO) Palette

Thanks all for the kind words and comments. Brian- I agree. Without NB my viewing of the universe would be greatly more hampered than it already is! I also like the star version as well but I thought the starless version looked spookier for Halloween :-). When I showed both to family and friends it ...

IC5070 Pelican Nebula in Hubble (SHO) Palette

I was able to get a little over 6 hours (300s subs) of the Pelican nebula with Ha, SII, and OIII filters and a ZWO ASI294MM Pro on an 80mm APO triplet during 97-100% moon glow under Bortle 6 skies. While doing this, I have both a star and starless version as some folks like stars removed but I think...

Switching between two filter wheels

Hi Robin I have an 80mm telescope piggybacked on top of a C11". I have a filter wheel working on the C11" and use a filter drawer on the 80mm. I am thinking of adding a filter wheel to the 80mm as well since my scope is so high up in the observatory that a filter drawer is impractical. My ...

Re: ASI294MM Pro Anti-Dew Heater Control

For once, somebody listened to me. ZWO has revised their 294mm product page to correct the error about this camera having an anti-dew heater.

Re: ASI294MM Pro Anti-Dew Heater Control

Hi Robin

Agree- I think this is a cut and paste error probably from their also newly released 2600mc which has an anti-dew heater. They need to really get their act together.

Anyway, I had the 294mc and never had any dew issues.

Re: ASI294MM Pro Anti-Dew Heater Control

Just to report an update from ZWO, they responded to my forum question about the anti-dew heater and stated that the 294mm does NOT have an anti-dew heater. I highly suggested that they correct the product information page on their web site and highlight the mis-information to its users. I can't bel...
