Re: Camera or Pro License Problem??

To BlackWikkit: I mentioned earlier that I do not "guide" but I do use a Celestron tracking system that until recently has given good stacked images. The stacking ability of SharpCap has overcome the slight error my equipment generates until recently. I have double checked the smoothness o...

Re: Camera or Pro License Problem??

Fellows, it seems that I can't reply to each of you in the order your responses came in. It seems that I can only respond to the last person who wrote me. I will do a better job after about 9pm tonight.. But to the first one (BlackWikket): no I don't guide. I only use the tracking (guiding) movement...

Camera or Pro License Problem??

I use a Celestron SKYPRODIGY 130 Computerized Telescope. Focal length of 650mm and a focal ratio of 5. It has been an inexpensive and satisfactory way for me to get introduced to astrophotography. My camera is a ZWO ASI 178MC. I have been getting good stacked pictures, except for the hot pixel, up u...

Re: Night Mode

I was out last night capturing what I could when I remembered to give this night light control a try. Yep, hitting apply got it right. It certainly is a nice feature to relieve your eyes from the screaming screen. I like it here in the den too. Carl

instructions for using Fits Liberator

I've noticed there is a histogram that comes with each picture that I've stacked and a lot of "boxes" with numbers in them that I can vary (as I can the histogram) which will change my picture. These variables seem to be retained when viewing other pictures. I honestly don't know what I'm ...

Re: Night Mode

I just tried to simulate being outside by using one of the two practice cameras offered by SharpCap. I wanted to see how this night vision worked so after getting the pretend camera on I went to the far left corner and clicked on FILE then slipped my mouse down into the immediate next box which said...

Re: Subtracting darls /flats in live Stacking

I don't think you will ever see me "give up" but I might seem to take some steps backwards at times. Carl Wagle Here is the camera settings: [ZWO ASI178MC] Debayer Preview=On Pan=0 Tilt=0 Output Format=PNG files (*.png) Binning=1 Capture Area=3096x2080 Colour Space=RAW16 Temperature=26.2 H...
