The connection occurs, there are no error messages, but some functions don't work. Connect, STOP and tracking rate, plate solve do work. Direction arrows, slew ...

Sensor Analysis Report

The analysis was done on a QHY 174M GPS.
I am not sure what this report is telling me.
Linear to 58.7 % sounds bad to me.

Fits Header

What values are written in the FITS header by the camera (QHY 174M GPS)?
Are any parameters written by SC?

Autofocus

Is there an Autofocus routine in SharpCap? Is references to autofocus in the forums but I don't see it in the User Manual.

Re: QHY 174M GPS and The Transit of Mercury

I forgot to mention that the scope is a 10" DOB. The entire aperture was covered except for a 4" hole for a glass white light filter. The filter aperture was further reduced by a cardboard mask to about 1/2".
So you don't see a problem with my procedure either?

QHY 174M GPS and The Transit of Mercury

I prepared for the transit by finding what I thought was the proper exposure and focus on prior sunny days. I used a white light filter with a restricted aperture. Since there were no sunspot available, I tried another way to get near focus. I went out at night without the filter and got best focus ...
