Well we had a clear night after nearly two months of cloud so having remembered how to get everything working had an imaging session, the Ecco dew control played up so lost 30 minutes when everything dewed up it took a while to warm the triplet so had time to drink more red wine, but got going again...

Re: The Crab & California Nebulae with a hyperstar

Cracking images as usual at least it gives me something to look at other than the gale force winds and driving rain. October was pretty much a write off November is starting well :(

What were the stack times?

Re: Image annotation

You can already do a lot of this in the filenames tab of settings if you are talking about including this information in the actual filename, you cannot do the telescope as SharpCap does not know this or the free text part but all the other information and more is available. Re: Messier Catalog Completed 10 - 2019

I am impressed that you did them all as I keep considering working my way through the Messier objects but then get side tracked with Nebula as I can't drum up the enthusiasm for imaging star clusters which I probably should try to do at some point problem is so many objects so few clear nights in th...

Re: Hyperstar Views

Nice shots, I am considering the L-eNhance filter if I decide to get a colour camera to go with the ASI1600mm for nights when I want an easier life or have friends children around to show them things in colour rather than monochrome. The bubble and lagoon look good for 80mins lots of detail. Quite l...

NGC6960 Western Veil Ha/Oiii/Sii

Well miracles happen we had a four hour window were the sky cleared last night so we managed to get out and have a quick session so chose the Western Veil as a target. The details are below the stars are slightly out of round so I think I have inadvertently moved the adjustable spacer between the fl...
