Cracking images as usual at least it gives me something to look at other than the gale force winds and driving rain. October was pretty much a write off November is starting well
What were the stack times?

Re: Image annotation
You can already do a lot of this in the filenames tab of settings if you are talking about including this information in the actual filename, you cannot do the telescope as SharpCap does not know this or the free text part but all the other information and more is available. Re: Backfocus
That is not any easy question to answer as it will also depend on the focal length but on the specifications page for your telescope it should give a dimension behind the focuser at which the image plane will be focused. If not then as a rough dimension if say the focal length of your scope was 500m...

Re: Messier Catalog Completed 10 - 2019
I am impressed that you did them all as I keep considering working my way through the Messier objects but then get side tracked with Nebula as I can't drum up the enthusiasm for imaging star clusters which I probably should try to do at some point problem is so many objects so few clear nights in th...

Re: Hyperstar Views
Nice shots, I am considering the L-eNhance filter if I decide to get a colour camera to go with the ASI1600mm for nights when I want an easier life or have friends children around to show them things in colour rather than monochrome. The bubble and lagoon look good for 80mins lots of detail. Quite l...

NGC6960 Western Veil Ha/Oiii/Sii
Well miracles happen we had a four hour window were the sky cleared last night so we managed to get out and have a quick session so chose the Western Veil as a target. The details are below the stars are slightly out of round so I think I have inadvertently moved the adjustable spacer between the fl...

Re: Little Dumbbell Nebula, Messier 76
Nice image, still think they look more like apple cores rather than dumbbells though, if it does not stop raining soon I will have forgotten how to use most of my kit

Re: PhD2 Dithering Control ETA?
Hi Bruce, With PHD2 connected in Sharpcap you should have an extra tick box yellow arrow on the image below that says reduce exposure . The pixel allowance will depend on the pixel ratio between the guide camera and the imaging camera on my setup I find 8 to 10 works fine 20 gives me very large blac...

Re: Alternative Plate Solver
Hi Robin,
Had not thought about that as NINA does know about the telescope and pixel size of the camera so would have an idea of the field of view + location from the telescope. Were as I assume SharpCap only effectively knows roughly were the mount thinks it is pointing.
Cheers
