Re: HOWTO Process Wind Affected Lunar Data
Dave, It looks like you chose an area of interest in PIPP that did not include the portions affected by the wind judder (blacked out in AutoStakkert). What would the result have looked like had you included the whole first frame in the PIPP area of interest (or had not set an area of interest)? Than...

Re: Recent change in "Target Name" field behavior
Yes, it's "working," but I agree with the original poster that it is far from ideal to have to reset the livestack in order to have it use the changed target name. As the poster said, if you forget to set the target name until after you start live stacking and then try to save the stack, i...

Re: Comet NEOWISE
Hey, at least you got it! Nice shot! Isn't that something to see! It's been a long time since we've had a comet like that!

Re: Comet NEOWISE
We actually had some clear weather finally and it happened to coincide with Neowise being visible in the night sky as well as the morning sky for us starting about 10:45 PM local time. I wouldn't worry too much about using your normal observing locations; just take some binoculars (and a DSLR and tr...

Re: Saved Focuser positions
HI Robin, It doesn't have to be that accurate for what I was envisioning. The intention would just be to get you near enough focus to start the fine focus process. As an example, sometimes I will start out visually observing with an eyepiece before putting the camera on. Before I got the electronic ...

Saved Focuser positions
It would be nice to be able to save (with descriptions) a number of focuser positions that would enable one to get close to a desired focus position without either memorizing a focuser position or repeatedly press the coarse focus position button. For example, you might have different focuser positi...

Re: Effect of L-eNhance Filter -- M27
Thanks Chris. I had just made a fairly lengthy post, but it seems to have disappeared into the ether. I agree that the native driver uses 50/50, but the camera SDK appears to use 52/95 (or 50/90). When using SharpCap or FireCap, there is no need to install any ZWO camera driver. It really doesn't ha...

Re: Effect of L-eNhance Filter -- M27
That's funny. I deleted by default 294MC Pro initialization file in SharpCap, restarted it, and it showed 50/50. Just to make sure, I downloaded FireCapture, installed it new, and it also shows 50/50. I don't know if it matters, but which version of the ZWO camera driver are you using? I have been u...
