Re: Sensor Analysis on QHY165C
Hello Robin This morning, I ran the latest SharpCap Sensor Analysis this morning on my QHY165 and it ran successfully. So I thought I would post this back and ask you if this looks valid and to ask if you have any new information on using Sensor Analysis using SharpCap with my QHY165C. What are your...

Re: Using MetaGuide with SharpCap 4
I would love to start using Metaguide to guide and dither. I am not too savvy with the scripting in SharpCap4. I have no need for live stacking. All I want is to ask Metaguide to dither every frame or every other frame during a normal imaging set. So I want the most simple approach to get this worki...

Re: Unable to Find Selection Box for Focus Tools
Just wanted to share that last night I noticed that each time I go into the Bahtinov mask sharping or the FWHM sharpening, the selection box will be full image sized or so tiny I cannot access it or something in between. It seems to be random. And I got lucky last night and managed to open/close the...

Re: Unable to Find Selection Box for Focus Tools
I just figured out how to get my selection box back. It turns out the box was the full size of the image. So I just randomly tried "CTRL-Click" with left mouse button and the full-sized selection box showed up red around the full image. I then made it smaller and now it works. Perhaps it w...

Unable to Find Selection Box for Focus Tools
I was out tonight to do some imaging and when I selected any of the "Focus Assistant" tools that use a selection, I could not find any way to select a star. It used to be a box would show up somewhere and I just had to move or resize it. But now, there is no box anywhere in the view. All I...

Re: Sensor Analysis on QHY165C
Hey Robin, I tried the newest SharpCap last night with my Qhy165c. I saw the 3 RGB gain sliders. But I recall you said I should set these RGB sliders to a low value like 1 and adjust the other gain setting to the actual gain I want to use. First, I did not see any gain adjustment other than the 3 RG...

Re: qhy 168c 0 wonky values
I will check this soon. Is there a specific gain and offset you want me to use? And do you want me to check the levels for a few exposure values between 0.47 to 0.59 seconds? I want to be sure I run the specific test that will be most meaningful. And I will try these using SharpCap and using APT. On...

Re: qhy 168c 0 wonky values
Hey Robin, I have attached one of many log files I had. I did not see any reference to "analysis" in the more recent log files, so I am not certain but I think this log file is the one you want. I did a lot of things as I was working my way through SharpCap and I am not certain this is the...

Re: qhy 168c 0 wonky values
I tried a few things last night with some results to report: All three gain sliders report 0-4027 - the same as the ASCOM driver When I ran sensor analysis I kept getting first one message "The exposure time required is getting quite long". I seemed to get this often. Then after an extende...
