Re: GPS information with 4.1.11013.0-64bit
TBH, I thought that truncating the data payload in the top of the image file had been done on purpose to stop it interfering with the processing of auto gain settings which finally works properly (and makes finessing of the settings so much easier). I have been doing my own testing, including ...

Re: Occultation event from OccultWatcher to SharpCap and more ...
I've had a couple of nights playing/testing and have to say I do like this a lot. Thanks for sharing, and I'm learning a lot about Python tinkering with it. Needless to say though, I have some suggestions :) Firstly, I'd like to see the output filename prefixed something like 2023-08-26 11_14_17Z Sh...

Re: Occultation event from OccultWatcher to SharpCap and more ...
This looks excellent and follows my manual workflow nicely. I've loaded it up on my Observatory PC and will give it a go tonight!

Re: using your main camera for imaging and auto-guiding
It could work very well if every x frame was used as a guide frame. It would't really help with PE, but could be useful with less than perfect polar alignment over a long exposure. This image was an example using hyperstar and 12s exposures - over an hour the drift is quite noticeable, but I don't c...

Re: SharpCap Timestamp accuracy
Hi all, another Occultation timer here - I never knew there were so many of us :) I've been dual recording events from my observatory using a video setup timestamped with IOTA-VTI and with an ASI174MM using NTP timing and can say that I can't find a significant delay using (the magnificent) SharpCap...

[Fixed - 3.2.5696] ROI Selection doesn't flip
Just a note to say that when the image is flipped, the ROI selection box doesn't follow that same point of view. Takes some juggling to get those ups and downs, lefts and rights co-ordinated  I'm probably the only user in the world who routinely places the target on the edge of the field and th...
