Robin,
if you're still using EQMOD, you might want to take a look at Green Swamp Server (GSS) as an alternative. I switched from EQMOD to drive my EQ8 via sharpcap/carte du ciel a couple of years ago - no problems so far.

Re: New Feature : Planetary Live Stacking
Hi Robin, Couple of things - I tried it using a two monitor view (using a previous SER file) - and although not noted in the documentation - it works as expected with the stacked/ sharpened image appearing on the 2nd monitor. 2nd thing :- Time lapse video - is currently fixed at saving one image per...

Re: Running Two Instances on the Same Laptop
Robin, On this subject, is there a way to tell Sharpcap which monito to use for the 2nd screen?. I have a laptop screen and 2 x 24" monitors and it would be nice to run both instances of SC on the laptop screen and have one use one of the 24" monitors and the other instance the other 24&qu...

Re: Having trouble plate solving
Just a thought - do you have the correct back focus from the reducer to your camera - it should be 105mm, otherwise the FOV will be different to that expected at f6.3 - which I think is what Robin observed with one of the images? https://telescopescanada.ca/products/celestron-reducer-corrector-f-6-3...

Re: Error message - An error has occurred while writing RAW frames between 2 live stack sessions
Hi robin,
Thanks for the speedy reply. However, I still think there is a problem as I've set file naming to WINJUPOS format -which I thought included the time as part of the filename?

Error message - An error has occurred while writing RAW frames between 2 live stack sessions
Hi, Strange one this. Using latest beta 4.1.10119.0 (BETA) 27/01/2023 I was running a live stack, using comet stacking feature - all looking good, getting good images on screen. Stopped the live stack to re-centre the comet, pressed 'CLEAR in live stack and got error message:- An error has occurred ...

Re: Plate solves with planetary cameras
I have an ASI 224 planetary cam on my f/10 C11 and have used it to plate solve, but I find the exposures & gain required are significantly longer/higher than my ASI533 - typically 15 - 30 secs at gain over 400.

Re: SharpCap pro polar alignements
Ah, I misread your post - your mention of getting Pro for polar alignment, led me to believe that you wanted to do that remotely.
