Banding when using Livestack
I haven’t done live stacking for a few years so I thought I would try it again. I imaged the star Vega and I noticed some kind of banding going on during the live stack and when I processed the stacked image in PixInsight. I believe that my gain was set at around 300. Also I noticed that Sharpcap do...

Does Sharpcap Pro support Automatic Focusing
I am using a Pegasus Focus Cube and I have been using the Sharpcap Pro FWHM Multi Star Focus Aid to get good focus. I manually adjust the focus until I get good FWHM numbers. My Question is software like NINA can use program like Hocus Focus to get a good HFR but will Sharpcap do automatic focusing ...

Re: Best Way to Focus using Sharpcap Pro on Planets
I was also be interested in what tools I should use in Sharpcap Pro Tools to help me get good focus and if it's a good idea to get focus on a star first using a Bathinov Mask then slew over to the planet?

Re: Best Way to Focus using Sharpcap Pro on Planets
I did not know there was a setting for WinJupos File Names using Sharpcap and I did find the settings so I will try it next time. I do have PIPP and I do like your suggestion so I will try that. I imaged Jupiter for about an hour total with 2 Minute Videos because I wanted to create a Video of Jupit...

Best Way to Focus using Sharpcap Pro on Planets
I posted a recent image of Jupiter which did not turn out too bad but everybody tells me that it's looks to be out of focus. Is there a Sharpcap Tool that would help me achieve focus? I did try Fourier Detail Detection and I wasn't sure if I was using it right but it seemed to work. My goal was to g...

Re: Poor FPS Imaging Planets
Robin, Here were my settings and yes my exposure was set at 150ms. That number seemed to work the best when I looking at the screen. I was also using a 2X Barlow lens. So I am assuming that I need to adjust the exposure setting to a lower number? Is there any way you could add the FPS to this report...
