Re: Live Stack Color Display from Individual Filters

The only tool I've found for this is astrotoaster.

http://www.astrotoaster.com/home

And yes I have used it for public outreach.

Of course, would prefer it be built in to sharpcap.

Re: Live Stack - make RGB from mono camera?

Looking at virtual star parties via SharpCap live stacking, in this time of social distancing.

Would love to have this feature.

Re: Atik GP Color 3.2.6.48

No crash just testing with the scope cover on.

We'll see what happens when the cloud cover clears!

Thanks

OK I will try that and report back.

Are the crash reports saved locally anywhere?

Atik GP Color 3.2.6.48

Sent a few crash reports for the native driver for this camera.

Hoping you have all the details in those reports, but just posting here to track updates. Pretty much crashes immediately every-time (although the very first time it crashed on camera disconnect).

ASCOM driver worked OK.

Thanks

Live Stack Color Display from Individual Filters

Forgive me if this feature is already there, as I admit I haven't tried live stacking yet. I'm wondering if Live Stacking could be made to present a color (or false color) image built up from multiple stacks from different filters on a monochrome camera. E.g. Select the Red filter, live stack until ...

Re: Use the brain and smart histogram for NB filters

Selection - did you press the 'selection' button in the toolbar to activate the selection rectangle?
No, I didn't know about that, I guess because it's not needed during sensor evaluation?

Thanks

Use the brain and smart histogram for NB filters

I'm not sure what changed or if I'm doing something wrong but I previously got a result of gain 61 exposure 725 seconds (1% max dynamic range) then last night I couldn't get any results (under 15min exposure) until I changed the read noise drop down to 10 or 20%? I had 0.06e-/pix sky for Ha, 0.16 fo...

exposure controls backwards for logitech webcam

Don't know if this is important as it is unlikely this cam would be used for astro but it seems the exposure slider works "backwards" for Logitech HD C270. The longest exposure (500ms) produces the darkest image, while the shortest exposure produces the brightest. Oddly, "auto" s...

Re: Polar align cordinates

OK thanks.

Could we live stack to enable a cheap (short exposure) camera to be used for PA?
