Re: Dithering

Unfortunately it won't work. Even though the stars would appear to move frame to frame the light would still have fallen on the same collection of pixels on the sensor. Dithering spreads the position of the captured image across different positions on the sensor to average out pixel to pixel differe...

Re: Something new in development...

I would imagine it's not binary. If you don't need to use sequencing don't use it. The EEA features are still going to be there.

Re: Seeing monitor capture

You can already specify a capture length in time, it's what I normally use for lunar and planetary. It's in the capture interface, you can choose between time and frames.

Re: Bias Frames

It looks like you can't do that at the moment, but to be fair the flats capture facility is meant for live stacking, which usually means higher gain, so your flats should be quite short exposure anyway. In this case bias frames should work fine. The option to choose the exposure time and do flat dar...

Re: Bias Frames

Bias frames can be used to calibrate flats, but only very short exposures (milliseconds). If your flats are 1/4 second or longer I would use flat darks. To be honest I always use flat darks anyway, it doesn't take long to set the exposure to the same length as your flats.
