To be fair ippiu those screen shots were taken with the older build, not the new one. I was out imaging when that came out.

Thanks Robin. I went for 10% in the end , but I was still getting odd results from the brain so I ended up using the normal histogram

quick brain question

When using the Histogram brain what Read Noise Limit is usually the best to choose? I can choose from 1,5, and 10% as I remember.

Brain giving strange results

Hi, I'm using an ASI224 to image dso's. I've tried using the brain but the result sometimes don't make sense to me. For example the brain often suggests 18 gain for unity gain and 61 gain for high dynamic range. Surely this should be the other way round. I've done my best to make sure there are no s...

You need to play with the settings. Increase the minimum pixel size, the noise reduction and possibly the black level until you're capturing 20 + stars and you're getting regular plate solves. Make sure your focus is good too.
