Re: Recent change in "Target Name" field behavior

Yes, previously SharpCap just allowed you to change the target name, and then it would immediately start saving to the new folder name even if you were in the middle of a live stack. The only issue I can imagine that might have been a worry with this old method was if you were saving raw images duri...

I only use the 32 bit files

When Live Stacking, the recent changes to automatic saving that saves the current view and a raw 16 and 32-bit image are a great convenience. However, I only use the 32-bit raw images, so I always have to go through and toss the 16-bit images. Is there any settings in the program that would allow me...

Recent change in "Target Name" field behavior

I am not sure when it was introduced this spring, but at some point changes in the "Target Name" were no longer honored until a live-stack reset. I don't think there was really any issue with the previous manner in which it worked. Now, if I forget to change the target name when I begin li...

Re: Live Stack: Align Frames checkbox unchecks itself

That helps enormously! Found the sequence of user operations that make it happen. When moving from one application to another, I may click on the window to bring the application to front. Naturally, I click in an empty spot of the application window where there are no controls of any sort to receive...

Re: Live Stack: Align Frames checkbox unchecks itself

This happened to me with the latest SC version I had just downloaded. I posted this after having the problem again, losing a nine-minute deep live-stack to smeared stars. I never turn off debayering, I don't think... However, I do switch back and forth between stack view and individual frame view in...

Live Stack: Align Frames checkbox unchecks itself

I have had problems with this in all versions of SharpCap for the last year or so. I will be merrily stacking away in live stack, and then suddenly I notice that the stacked image is starting to smear (I have an alt-az mount). When this happens, I always find that the Align Frames checkbox has inexp...

Re: Plans for SharpCap 3.2

One other possible feature addition for the next versions of SharpCap that occurred to me is hopefully quite simple to implement. In the Live Stack panel, it would be nice to be able to see the individual frames as the star/live stack algorithm sees them, ie. process and display the individual frame...

Re: Plans for SharpCap 3.2

I agree, a multipoint curve control feature would be helpful. The curves feature is great, but sometimes it can be a bit of a blunt instrument. Especially under light polluted skies. The ability to pass images into SharpCap via a "hot folder camera" is a very useful option. I have often wa...
