Thanks, Robin - I see it proved just a bit more difficult, from the release notes
Only just returned to clear skies, here, so sorry for the long delay... appears fixed.

Re: v4.1.11031 focuser runaway inwards
Hi, Robin, sorry for the delay in replying. Overshoot by 1200 steps , always approach in positive direction ... there's quite a bit of slop in SCT focusers, and this goes through the 10x fine focus knob, as well as a reduction by the belt pulleys from a 200-step stepper. Please let me know if I can ...

v4.1.11031 focuser runaway inwards
Robin, I don't quite know what happened here, as I'd switched to another virtual desktop to check on another program, however what I heard was one of my focus motors doing a very long run at top speed... When I switched desktops back to SharpCap, I could see this focuser apparently headed for zero.....

Possible bug - LiveStack file naming 4.1.10987
Robin, I know we've had issues around Live Stack file naming before, but here something is definitely not quite right: hopefully, as you will see from the screenshot, the filter selected is LPS-D1 , but the second field in the suggested filename, which should be the filter, is NBZ-UHS , which was th...

Re: Auto Focus - Refocus Fail
Robin, I had an instance of refocus failing spectacularly a couple of nights ago: I always scan outwards , since I’m using a SCT , I clicked on auto focus , unusually (I usually control refocusing manually); after taking several frames, it determined that it was on the wrong side of focus ( incorrec...

Re: Plate solve with sync turns off PEC playback on my CGX mount
Robin, there was a question from Derek, Celestron’s lead firmware engineer, on Team Celestron some time ago about exactly this - PEC being disabled after SYNC commands… IIRC, the gist was that this was “a historical artefact” of the older era controllers… Sorry, but since I don’t use PEC, relying on...

Re: Reference of timestamp
Hi, I hope you don’t mind me chiming in, but I think you’re missing Robin’s point, here: you can have arbitrary precision in the time reported, but Windows doesn’t provide for accurate timestamps at such precision… Windows internal timekeeping isn’t accurate below milliseconds , regardless of the pr...

Re: v4.1.10609 bug report
Robin,
when you say PHD closes, are you meaning closes as in the App quits? If so, that's not part of my workflow.
In most cases, I either leave PHD guiding, if I'm pausing to re-focus, or I go back to looping in PHD, when moving to a new target.
