Re: How to get rid of 'unusable' frame

I'm sure others will chime in but what immediately comes to mind is that if you use the live stacking algorithm "Sigma Clipping" instead of the default, the sigma clipping will help exclude unwanted artifacts like satellite or airplane trails from the stacked image. Sigma Clipping is only available ...

Re: Secondary Live View Window

Just be aware that with Two Monitor View, your inside monitor won’t include the live stacking image, since it’s only displayed on the second monitor and not on both at the same time. I’ve requested this as a feature enhancement, but until then see my workaround here: https://forums.sharpcap.co.uk/vi...

Re: Dealing with vignetting

Wikkett,

Thanks for the great tips. You and Don have been very helpful in sharing how to get the best results with 294 flats. Anyone who's using a 294 with Hyperstar and SC live stacking will especially benefit from this info.

Re: Dealing with vignetting

Dave, I'd like to learn more about your experience using a master flat with your 294 and Hyperstar. I used a friend's new 294 a couple of nights ago with my C14 Hyperstar. We had issues with the flats created by SC. With my 1600MC-C camera, I get good results when creating a mono flat with bias subt...

Re: Dealing with vignetting

Dave, Thanks for sharing your experiences with creating and using flats with your Hyperstar, both here and on Cloudy Nights. I went through a similar learning experience when I first got my Hyperstar. I’m sure your experiences will help others! SharpCap Pro live stacking and Hyperstar are a match ma...

Re: SharpCap 64-bit version now available for testing.

Thanks! Will you be making a new 64-bit version available whenever a new 32-bit version is available?

Re: SharpCap 64-bit version now available for testing.

Fantastic! I can't wait to try out these improvements!

Regarding this: "Stronger/Weaker auto-stretch when control/shift clicking the button" -- can you explain a bit more about how this works? Thanks.

Re: SharpCap 64-bit version now available for testing.

I used this version last night with my ZWO1600MC-Cool, and had no issues during live stacking. Thanks for the great effort which allows me to use all the great features of live stacking with no crashes due to "out of memory" errors.

Re: Two Monitor View: add small preview window to main monitor?

As a work-around, here's what I currently do for public outreach: Since I already had two monitors, I use an HDMI splitter to connect both external monitors to my laptop's single HDMI-out port. Then when I toggle "Two Monitor View" on, the preview/camera image window displays on both external monito...
