Just a thought and I realise this is not quite what was asked but - doesn't ASCOM ALPACCA make this possible - as I understand it you should be able to run Sharpcap on a windows machine and link it to a camera running on a say Raspberry pi (I have a Stellarmate device) - I haven't tried this persona...

I quickly tried the Wizard and it is definitely going in right direction - afraid I cant go/do any more testing at the moment so as I trust you implicitly would accept anything you come up with

Hi Robin I have sorted out the FITS header entries and think it will work well - i intend to create an equivalent to the snapshot button which will take a snapshot with the fits header extras taken care of - I'm hoping to use the FX Frame Stack (3) assuming the snapshot will take that stacked image!...

Hmm, there are useful python tools for this (like AstroPy and OpenCV), but neither will work in IronPython :( Fortunately though it's all built in to SharpCap and with a little (undocumented until now) scripting you can get access to it import clr clr.AddReference("SharpCap.ImageProcessing&quo...
