Hi Robin,
My laptop is always in performance mode and I have disabled the USB power saving settings. I think in my case I will just run the power cable outside to the patio to avoid frustration!

Re: GPCAM2 290C Dropping Frames
Hello all, I know this is an old topic but thought I should report my findings for any future reference. I have this camera mainly as a spare for guiding but thought I would have a go at some lunar shots tonight. Have encountered the same issue with very low frame rate and and all the other symptoms...

Re: Shapcap POlar Alignment and Polemaster
Hi. I always use the Polemaster camera on the mount and run it with Sharpcap. In my opinion it is more accurate than the PM software as that involves user input, like setting a template and clicking on stars. With SC it platesolves, you slew the mount and then follow the on screen prompts to adjust....

Sharpcap newbie..
Hello all, Not strictly a newbie. Been using SC for polar alignment for a while and then switching to APT for image capture and mount control. Ive had my ASI1600MM since last November and I've had some decent results with unity gain so I've not changed it. I imaged M42 in February and I shot 2 hours...

Re: Sensor analysis Asi1600mc Pro
After some disappointing results with shooting hundreds of frames at 30s and Unity gain (LRGB) I'm going to give Sharpcap a go at imaging. I've only really used the software for the excellent PA routine and a dabble at some planetary. Regarding the Sensor Analysis, does the camera need to be cooled ...

Re: Different polar align results
Hi Robin. Thanks for the reply. I will try again on the next available chance. Have read elsewhere that perhaps releasing the clutch to rotate may cause the mount to move a small bit. Next time I think I will rotate using the hand controller. Will update the thread with results.
Thanks
David

Re: Different polar align results
Hello all. New to the forum. Thought I'd ask in this thread as I have exactly the same problem. I have a 200p on an EQ5 mount, have an extra dovetail bolted onto the top of the 200p rings and a ZWO finder guider bolted solidly to this. Camera is the ZWO ASI120. Sharpcap works fine. It plate solves i...
