Problem calibrating with Siril after shooting
Hi, I normally just process the final livestack fits from Sharpcap, however tonight I tried to process all the captured data from Sharpcap in Siril, registered the lights, took a master dark with Sharpcap, took a master flat with Sharpcap, all looked fine. However when I try to calibrate it says it ...

Re: Livestack frame reset
Yes that could work, or make it configurable, I worry that light reflection off cloud, even a couple of seconds, could taint the frame.
It would need to know not to stack the short exposures I think .

Re: Having a nightmare with new camera
I have yes, auto stretch. Exactly what I see. I haven’t noticed it before but maybe that’s normal then?
I’m also seeing red gradient on one side and blue the other on lights, but that might be how the new camera is dealing with the moon?

Livestack frame reset
Hi, Really enjoying using livestacking right now but one massive frustration which could be very easily sorted. If I’m livestacking 3 minute or 5 or longer and using phd2 and the option to only stack when it’s guiding, which is great as if clouds come over phd loses lock and I don’t stack rubbish. H...

Re: Having a nightmare with new camera
The flat, when used on its own, looked like I was looking down the tunnel of the OTA with well defined edges. In desperation I loaded some old settings I’d saved from a few weeks ago and the problem seemed to disappear. I’ll take some more flats tonight (assuming the forecast is correct) and then se...

Having a nightmare with new camera
So I’ve been using a 183C with live stacking. Took my temp related darks and was using a simple flat just before I started imaging. Worked great, got some pictures I was very happy with. However I changed to a 585 based camera. Used the same process and got some good results. But then did some readi...

Re: Hot pixel removal
Thank you, or maybe just set capturing to automatically turn off any darks setting?

Hot pixel removal
I’ve just changed to a 585 based camera and want to get rid of the boredom of shooting darks. On reading various posts the recommendation seems to be to use hot pixel removal and flats and flat darks. However when I got to take dark flats it won’t let me because it sees hot pixel removal as dark sub...

Re: Altair 183C ascom driver
Hi, always prefer the native driver if it works fine - the ASCOM driver is really there for use in applications that don't have native driver support (or in the rare cases that the native driver misbehaves). cheers, Robin Thanks, having real problems with the native driver. I ran the sensor analysi...

Altair 183C ascom driver
Just got a 183c pro and it works fine in Nina and Sharpcap using a native driver. But should I use that or the ascom driver. I’ve downloaded the ascom driver zip file, but that just gives a file without an extension so can’t do anything with it. The Altair website and faq says nothing Except downloa...
