Hi,
Is there a way to look for very far galaxies? - Using the Deep Sky annotation tool' I can trace galaxies in the EAA stack and then I can loo for their distance. But can I do the reverse - find galaxies by distance and then go to try and EAA on them?
Thanks.

Re: Clarification needed for capturing Flat frames
Hi Robin,
I think I got it:
Dark-Flats at the Flats capture process are not instead of the Darks that I capture separately.
Am I correct?
While capturing the Flats & Dark Flats, Darks subtraction should be enabled or
not?
Thanks,
Ehud.

Re: Clarification needed for capturing Flat frames
Hi Robin,
also, I am not sure how this goes with with the direction to capture Darks using sane gain and exposure as using for the picture stacking itself. I am using a gain of 300 (for Galaxies EAA from Bortel 9).
Thanks.

Clarification needed for capturing Flat frames
Hi Robin, The User Manual say: "Capture and subtract dark flat frames – If this option is selected, SharpCap will capture dark flat frames (at the same exposure length as the flat frames) after completing the capture of flat frames. This option can give the best flat correction results (particu...

Re: Dark frame is completely dark on SV605cc
Thanks Robin. I followed your advice - 1 - Captures Dark of 10x500msec with Black level set to 40 2 - Used this Dark when Stacking using 5 sec. exposures. 3 - The dark trails & pixels gone :) I have few questions: 1 - Have I done right by using same Black level for Darks and Stacking? 2 - Have I...

... and I did another test - increasing gain to max: 600. Please see attached. Here there are few more pixels, but much less then what I would expect. Might it be that Gain value has some error when taking darks?

Re: Dark frame is completely dark on SV605cc
Hi Robin,
I did a carful test - and there are two dark pixels - please zoom to 100% or more and you'll see it on the right & left edges of the pictures, a bit above the middle.
Still, this is much less then he 'real' hot-cols pixels I see when doing stacking.
Please also check with your camera.

Re: SV605cc stretching is not well
Hi Robin,
I don't know what's happened, but tonight the histogram is fine. Weird. I hope it will stay like that. However the Dark frame (see other bug) is not working well yet.
