Re: Temporary files?

Thanks for answers! So, here are also answers to new questions: that memory settings value is set to 1.0 GB in both cases In Windows Resource Monitor I only see a bunch of new files that are FITS related, nothing else exceptional WinDirStat and TreeSize both show the same result - increase of Users ...

Re: Temporary files?

Thanks for answer! So I took the camera and did some tests in my room. I tested on USB 2.0 and 3.0. With SharpCap 3.1 and 4.0. The problem appears in all cases. I added an exception to Windows Defender (by adding process "SharpCap"), but nothing changed. 100 frames take about 3.05 GB. In a...

Temporary files?

Hello everyone, I've been experiencing a problem since I moved to 4.0. My SSD hard drive doesn't have much space and it's rarely above 50 GB free. After I moved to work with bin 1x1 (previously it was bin 2x2, so amount of data wasn't a problem), I keep filling this space very quickly. But the probl...

Re: Multi-FOV for photometry

Currently none, never heard yet about those. I believe developer of PIPP would be able to create such option for his program, but this wouldn't really that much useful - you still need hundreds of gigabytes of frames before you start doing this procedure. The idea is to reduce it during collecting d...

Multi-FOV for photometry

Hello, I want to request a SharpCap feature about capturing multiple FOV from one frame. Let me explain how would this look like and why it would be very useful (at least for photometry). The program records a FOV area that was chosen under settings. When we are capturing frames for photometry, we n...

Re: SharpCap on Win XP?

Hi Robin,

No, this is the first time I try to do it here. This laptop has only three USB 2.0 ports. I tried the "Turbo USB" thing, but it freezes too. Too bad I have USB 3.0 cable only, so I can't check. I will try to find a shop to buy it tomorrow.

Re: SharpCap on Win XP?

Thanks Robin! But I have another issue. I have installed ZWO drivers and SC 2.9. When I choose the camera, it shows full 3096x2080 black frame and shows "0 frames (1 dropped)" and it doesn't change later. Changing any setting (like capture area, exposure time) causes the program to freeze....

SharpCap on Win XP?

Hello, I have a computer failure which I can't use for now. I am temporarily using old laptop with Win XP, which I had between 2008 and 2013. I have attempted to install latest version of SharpCap, but it didn't allow me to do it (because of WinXP). I have a very important target selected for observ...

Re: Live stacking per X frames looped

Yes, please. This could be extremely useful for CMOS in photometry of bright stars, reaching accuracy <0.01 mag of measurements easier than before.
