Re: Focus Assistant Edge Detection Bug
Hi Robin, Here is a picture of the error message which flashes over and over, when it occurs, locking up the computer in the process. Also, the problem occurs for all of the focus assistant options not just edge detection. The problem seems to be with just this computer. I loaded Sharpcap onto anoth...

Re: Focus Assistant Edge Detection Bug
Hi Robin,
Attached is the log file you requested. Hopefully, it contains the needed information. Whe I choose the focuser option, Sharpcap seems to go into some sort of infinite loop and ant only way to terminate is to Crtl-Alt-Delete and use the task manager.
Best, Bill

Focus Assistant Edge Detection Bug
The Edge Detection option on the Focus Assistant gives errors. This option failed the other day when it was selected during an observing session. The problem can be reproduced using the simulated focuser and the test cameras

Re: Problems Loading Sharpcap after Reverting Back to Win 10 from Win 11
FINALLY!!!! Many thanks to all for your help and suggestions! Robin's suggestion to install the errant version on a separate computer, and then copy the needed .msi file from that computer over to the problem computer worked great. The old version was removed and now I have installed the latest Shar...

Re: Problems Loading Sharpcap after Reverting Back to Win 10 from Win 11
Hi Robin and Menno, I have been struggling with this issue for hours and don't seem to be any closer to a resolution. I tried restoring the operating system to a previous statepoint, but this is a fairly new computer and I only had one statepoint to go back to. Unfortunately going back to that state...

Re: Problems Loading Sharpcap after Reverting Back to Win 10 from Win 11
Hi Robin, I did as you suggested, but it did not work. It seems to be looking for a file called SharpCapInstall.msi and it is looking for it in C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\{5BE93FD9-DF8C-4F89-A271-AD669EB2061A}v4.0.8439\ but can't find it. I downloaded 4.0.8439 from your website and tried to uninst...

Re: Problems Loading Sharpcap after Reverting Back to Win 10 from Win 11
That is not possible. When I tried to load Sharpcap, I got the windows illustrated in Fig 1. When I pressed cancel in the upper right window in Fig 1, I got Fig 2. The log file from the previous post is what was output by clicking the link in Fig 2. What to do now? Thanks, as always!

Problems Loading Sharpcap after Reverting Back to Win 10 from Win 11
Hello Robin, I loaded Win 11 on my computer a few days ago and didn't like it because it was giving me some problems. I reverted back to Win 10 and found that I had to reload Sharpcap. The reload did not go smoothly. Can you identify the problem. Attached is the debug log file. Thanks so much for yo...
