Would it not be possible to take all the saved planetary images and then stack and process them after the fact using the folder monitor camera? It is not quite real time, but could be close. Just asking.

Hi Robin, Zooming to 100% and then using the "edge detection" option no longer causes Sharpcap errors as you indicated, but things are still not quite right. Before, Sharpcap gave me a selection area box which I could move around and resize to calculate the focus value at some desired edge...

Not working. No matter what I set the frame rate to, the error window still flashes pretty fast (about once per second). I have managed once or twice to be quick enough to hit the send manually option, but it doesn't seem to do anything. In any case, all the errors seem to be the same.
