What happened to the settings with QHY168C?
I updated Sharpcap last month and reverted back to the previous version I installed, because I was out in the field imaging and didn't have time to figure things out. The order of the settings for my QHY168C camera changed. I am not seeing the gain slider, the white balance sliders are called red/gr...

Re: QHY163C Sharpcap Temp Issues
Robin,
We installed the 03 February 2020 version of Sharpcap and the cameras seem to work fine now. Not sure if it is coincidence or maybe a fixed SDK?
Glad the cameras are working.

Re: QHY163C Sharpcap Temp Issues
Robin, The problem John and I have may be related to a driver problem. It was in November during an imaging weekend where suddenly I could not connect my QHY168C camera anymore. I have an older Dell Laptop with USB2 ports, and using an expresscard I've had my USB3 ports for a few years. My QHY5III29...

Re: QHY247C Offset Problem
I use offset of 40 because it is what I use for my QHY224C and QHY168C cameras. I selected 40 using this table: https://www.qhyccd.com/index.php?m=content&c=index&a=show&catid=31&id=199 Now I am seeing their starting Offset is 200 with the QHY247C I did not use that table last night,...

QHY247C Offset Problem
Robin, I am helping a friend with his new camera, and we are coming across a problem with the offset. When I set it to 40, the image is gray and the histogram is at 40%. I attached the logs for you. Connecting the camera through ASCOM does not show this problem. Do you know what is happening? Eric

Re: QHY168C Problems-Changing ROI Changes Gain and White Balance
Robin, I downloaded and installed the lastest SDK and Sharpcap and the problem still persists, though not as frequent. I try to not set the cooler to 100% if there is a large temperature difference between ambient and sensor. Rather be safe than sorry, and QHY mentions it in their manuals. The stran...

Re: QHY168C Problems-Changing ROI Changes Gain and White Balance
Robin, When I First turn on the camera I do not want 100% cooling as QHY says it can damage the camera due to temperature shock. So I start at 15% and gradually increase the power and then set the automated temp control. So my concern is camera damage. Also, for framing and focus, it is important th...

Re: QHY168C Problems-Changing ROI Changes Gain and White Balance
Robin,
I am wondering if a local vendor needs to lend you a camera. We've been at this for months, and there is still a problem. I admit it doesn't happen as frequent now, which I don't know is worse.
Again, the camera is cooling at full power but the settings show power of 40 (15%).

Re: QHY168C Problems-Changing ROI Changes Gain and White Balance
I am not moving the ROI around. I just chance the resolution selection. I do that when focusing with the focus assist and bahtinov mask because the frames are large and it slows the laptop down.

Re: QHY168C Problems-Changing ROI Changes Gain and White Balance
Thanks again Robin. I do not know if these problems are related to the SDK or what. It seems we are nearing finding solutions to the problems. Now, when I change the ROI, the cooler goes to max. Seems loading profiles is OK. I hate to bug you with all these problems, it does make it less stressful w...
