Re: Web Server

Did some more testing and seeing some weird results. I tried using CanRunInStillMode to determine what can and cannot be switched to Still Mode and it looks like it's not reporting back correctly. >>> SharpCap.SelectedCamera <SharpCap.Models.Camera object at 0x000000000000002B [ZWO ASI Cameras::ZWO ...

Re: Web Server

Hey Jean-Francois, How do you think I figured out what exception it was giving? ;) >>> SharpCap.SelectedCamera.LiveView = False Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> NotImplementedError: The method or operation is not implemented I did some more testing, an...

Re: Web Server

Hey Robin, I've been adding a little more to my app recently and was looking for a way to stop and start Live View. I see there is SharpCap.SelectedCamera.LiveView and the intellisense shows I should be able to set it, but it gives me a NotImplementedError exception. Is there another way I could acc...

Re: Issues with short exposures and flats

Hey Everyone, I finally have some decent weather and thanks to everyone's help it looks like I've solved the issues I was having. I've made sure that my darks, flats, and lights all have the matching settings (besides exposure for flats), and I've adjusted the offset(brightness) to detach the histog...

Re: Issues with short exposures and flats

Hey everyone, Okay wow! I'm learning a lot right now. I'm not sure why the gain would be different between the lights and darks. I don't adjust it between captures. I'll need to make sure next session to double check that it stays the same. Thanks for all the detailed explanations from everyone. I h...

Re: Understanding the histogram view

Hey Robin, I had another thought about the live stacking display. When an image is saved from the live stack, say the raw 32bit, is the output the internal representation, or does SharpCap also average out before saving? Also, would it be possible to have an option to display the non-averaged data? ...

Re: Issues with short exposures and flats

Hey Brian,

I'm not sure why that is. I just use SharpCap's Capture Dark/Flat tools. I guess Darks use the Output Format of the camera? I haven't really changed that setting since I started using SharpCap. I'll test it out when I get a chance.

Re: Issues with short exposures and flats

Hey everyone, I managed to get some frames. I've placed them into a shared drive folder here https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/18wQpnSIY0teEBfWuMUFd4lSpkUD7X85u?usp=drive_link. I'm also attaching an image of what I'm currently seeing with a heavy stretch. From what I can see, it seems to be an ...

Re: Issues with short exposures and flats

Hey Brian, No worries. Yeah, I'm using an 8inch Newt at f/4. I'm glad you pointed that out. Hot pixels seem to also be an issue with my short exposures. I should be able to setup my scope tonight and I'll take new flats and darks and even save out the individual frames. Maybe by sharing the actual d...

Re: Issues with short exposures and flats

Hey Brian,

I haven't run a sensor analysis. My 15s exposure was chosen based on the Smart Histogram which came back with 15.6s. This was some time ago, so I don't remember the exact options I had given it. I'm running a 533MC Pro btw.

Thanks,
Alejandro
