Re: Hypercam 294C PRO TEC - Sharpcap HCG mode

Hi Robin,

Thank you very much for the clear and concise explanation about how the LCG/ HCG and Gain work in SharpCap Vs other applications such as NINA. It now makes perfect sense and is what I though it would be but wanted validation.

Many Thanks and Best Regards

Re: Hypercam 294C PRO TEC - Sharpcap HCG mode

It was about the use of the HGC [High Conversion Gain] switch in NINA and also refer to the implementation in SharpCap. If I understand it correctly then when the HGC switch is...

Thanks Brain. I though that this might be the case. But it was worth exploring.

I note that there maybe some movement using INDI and ASCOM in conjunction. See http://www.cl...

ConeSharp - Declination of Star

Hi, In the instructions for ConeSharp it mentions that "find a nice bright star just east of the meridian with a declination near zero". I just wondered what the range of "JUST ZERO" was? Will +/- 10 degrees work? Or are we talking about a range +/- 1 degree? I ask as there not n...

Altair GPCAM DSO Imaging

I have recently bought a GPCAM2 which I have used to image the Moon, Venus and a very challenged video of Mars. All using Sharpcap 2.9 I however have not been able to figure out how to image Deep sky objects. I don't expect them to be brilliant but AltairAstro claim you can do this. Any tips or sugg...
