Re: Timestamp and subframe size
Hello, I forgot to mention that I am testing with MODE16. I understand that one possible explanation is the readout time, which will produce a delay in the timestamp with respect to the true capture start time. But I would like to confirm that Sharpcap does not apply any correction for readout time....

Timestamp and subframe size
Hello, I am carrying out some tests of the accuracy of the time stamp using light flashes synchronized with a GPS/PPS, and a local time server also with GPS/PPS (stratum 1) to synchronize the Pc. The recordings are with ASI183 camera and .ser format. The results are very good (less than 1ms) if the ...

Re: Exposure time ramp
Hello Jean-Francois, Thank you very much for pointing me to this option. As far as I've seen it is not possible to generate a ramp-simulating occultation with Tangra, it only allows a total and sudden occultation, but I'm talking to the developer of Tangra to see if it would be possible to add the o...

Re: Exposure time ramp
Hi Jean-Francois and Robin, I think your comments make sense and I would definitely like to try your option too. I will study your script and if I have any doubts on how to adapt it to the change of exposure time I count on your help, thank you very much. @Robin: The problem with this development is...

Re: Exposure time ramp
Hello Jean-Francois, I find this an interesting alternative. Perhaps the problem I see is that the occultation will take only a few seconds and if you move the focus you will be losing time to capture the images only when the focus is at rest and you will have less images losing resolution in the li...

Exposure time ramp
Hello, The 12 December occultation of Betelgeuse is particularly interesting as the apparent diameter of Betelgeuse is similar to that of the asteroid that will occulte it. There are many professionals and amateurs organising teams to capture the occultation. The aim is to generate a general light c...

Re: 2 lodestar connected
Hello Robin, Attached is the log. I can see a warning concerning the cameras. Part of the message is in Spanish as it comes from my operating system is Spanish. I don't understand the meaning of this warning, but I have checked that both lodestar cameras are operative from Maxim (one as Lodestar and...

2 lodestar connected
Hello, I have a problem when I connect two Lodestar X2 to the same PC. If I connect just one, Sharpcap recognizes it fine and it works. If I connect both, it does not detect any of them. Both are able to work at the same time because for example with Maxim I can have one as main and the other as gui...
