Re: Plate Solving Issues

Hi, If you can share the SharpCap log file from the case where the telescope seemed to slew randomly then maybe we can work out what was going wrong. Sometimes you can get a false match with plate solving that can be a long way away from the real location in the sky, but SharpCap limits the search ...

Plate Solving Issues

Just came back from starwatching. I used Sharpcap plate solve with no problems. It worked without any problems. This time the plate solver did not work as well. When I tried to plate solve APM 08279+5255, my telescope would go crazy. The telescope would try to slew, but get caught on some part of th...

Hi,

Yes, absolutely – once you've installed the plate solving application and all its data files, there should be no need for an Internet connection.

Cheers, Robin
Thank you. I could use it out in the field or at an outreach. 8-)

Plate Solving Issues

When I try to do plate solving, SharpCap does not auto detect AstroTortilla. I have SharpCap detecting the mount. I installed AstroTortilla into the default directory in Windows 10. It is Program Files x86. I even uninstalled and reinstalled AstroTortilla. I have ran AstroTortilla with no problems. ...

Re: Something new in development...

Hi, Yes, absolutely. It's not the end of the road for EAA. The most recent release (SharpCap 3.2) was very much focused on EAA improvements whereas the next release will be focused on improvements for those who want a more traditional imaging option. Looking further ahead I have ideas about further...

Displaying On More Than Two Screens

Is it possible for SharpCap to display more than two screens with Two Monitor View mode. Let say, there is a second monitor and the third screen is a projector.

Re: No Brightness And Contrast Slider Under Image Controls With Altair GPCAM3 385C

Hi, Usually, I'd consider it a good thing that these controls are unavailable as the contrast and gamma controls can potentially reduce the fidelity of the data that you capture by applying digital manipulation to the image data before it gets given to SharpCap. These controls are not available for...
