By way of background, I have a Celestron 5se . As it's not the best mount/weight combo, I'll get a fair amount of drift over 5 minutes. Adding more weight with autoguiding only makes matters worse. Thanks. Switching between the hand control and Plate solver works. To avoid some issues with the hand control alignment options, I found it better to choose my alignment option first and then plug into the hand control.

Hi-
I have a celestron mount with USB connection. If I goto a target using the hand control and then adjust the position via sharpcap plate solving, will this work, or does the scope need to be controlled via planeterium software.

Very useful! On a somewhat related note, moving the "auto-intensity" slider from settings to a slider in the histogram might be more user friendly.

Hi- I started about a year ago and have a Celestron 5se. I haven a zwo 224 and zwo 290. Both have been excellent. The biggest difference is that the 290 has a very small pixel size, so more detail. i have been using parallels, sharpcap, and zwo 290 and 224 camera for a while.
