Hello Nick - Couldn't help but notice what a beautiful image of the M45. I'm new beginner @EAA. I have recently acquired a new rig/ EQ mount and scope. I started off with ALT/AZ Go-To mount Celestron Next star 650 mm FL f/5. Imaging planetary for about 6 months. Recently I just started experimented ...

Re: Automatic refocus with ZWO EAF

Hello Robin, I've been researching this myself and noticed that their is a Beta version of SC. I'm currently using the 64bit 4.1 version. Would you recommend that I use the Beta Version? I realize this post was back in August, here it is, now December. Also, wanting to know if the Bathinov mask opti...

Re: ZWO ASI120MC for Planetary Imaging

How can I achieve the same process with same camera but using Celestron f/5 FL650mm ? I have beat my brains out trying to capture Saturn. I wind up with a tiny image about the size of a pencil eraser, maybe less! Could I achieve the same results by apply a Barlow x2 to the camera? That would only ma...

Re: DSO PHOTOGRAPHY, CAMERA EXPOSURE TIME/SETTINGS

At a complete loss and very frustrated! Videos and forum threads, advice. I still don't get it. Last night I tried capturing images of the Beehive with my ZWO ASI120MC-S planetary / DSO camera. I am more of a visual learner, with a huge learning curve. Failed at all aspects trying to set gain, expos...

Re: DSO PHOTOGRAPHY, CAMERA EXPOSURE TIME/SETTINGS

what versions of SharpCap are you using? Pro 4.0, I'm using that one. Would you have a screen shot of that smart histogram?
Appreciate it.
