Re: Time Stamp Format
I would also like a local offset option for the time stamp as it would enhance the allsky functionality. As a work around for anyone using a ZWO camera, the directshow dirver instance in SharpCap does display local time when the time stamp box is checked and the font is bigger. Thanks for an outstan...

Re: Frame shift with ASI120MM
+1 for adjusting the USB speed. I've had the same problem before with ASI120MC 2.0 USB. Also don't exceed max length on your USB cables. Throws off the timing of the signal. Try avoiding USB hubs when possible. There are some good hubs out there though. Issue was so bad for a while that rebooting di...

Re: Losing polar alignment?
Also, yes unlocking the clutches and moving it by hand can very well shift the mount position around. I find the axis on the AVX to be still quite firm when unlocked so the pressure required to move it by hand could nudge your position on the tripod. One thing to keep in mind is that the tripod is m...

Re: Losing polar alignment?
I have the AVX. If you're using the included tripod you can forget about maintaining precise polar alignment from night to night. Each session will require realignment if you need it to be precise (think imaging). Walking nearby can change it particularly if its on a deck. Even breathing in the vici...

File naming and saving when using filters
Robin, I love the file naming template function. One small suggestion though would be to add a "FrameDate" tag. The "Date" and "DateTime" tags both insert the date from when the sequence was started. Once the sequence rolls over midnight the date portion remains the sam...

Re: Image capture window is white.
In my case the whole screen was white and not just sides. This may have been an over exposure of the inital frame. After that the whole capture area was black and all I got was an increasing number of dropped frames. After a minute or so the captured frame count was 0 and dropped frames was a few hu...

Re: Image capture window is white.
Robin, Can I ask for a little more insight into that driver library that you're talking about (ASICamera2.dll)? I have three copies of it on my computer and they all look like different sizes: C:\Program Files (x86)\SharpCap 2.9\ASICamera2.dll (543 KB) C:\Program Files (x86)\SharpCap 3.0\ASICamera2....

Re: Setting up master dark libraries
Thanks Robin, I didn't know that "brightness" was code word for "offset". Is that the same offset that I see under the ASCOM properties? That's the only place I've ever seen offset and was wondering why it seemed to be missing from the native driver and the DirectShow driver that...
