Re: Something new in development...

One feature that no other software has tried or successfully done is a reliable recovery sequence when clouds come over. Here is an active thread about this subject. https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/685376-how-does-your-automation-software-handle-passing-clouds/#entry9801167 If guiding is lost cou...

Re: Saving individual frames during live stack

The fits files are raw before any processing. The only way to save them post processing (I think) is the "save as seen" option. I don't know if you can save an image info file with live stack...I've never tried. I usually include all the info I need in the file field in the top menu. For example M33...

Re: Troubleshooting Polar Alignment

Does SC use the mini-histo stretch to plate solve? Just curious because I can use 2-3 second exposures to plate solve but All sky plate solver needs 8 to 12 seconds to find enough stars. I've guessed SC is using the mini strecht I turn on and ASPS is using raw data. I also think I read this someplac...

Re: Quick settings buttons

I looked at those....I don't think they can do what I'm asking. Do the keyboards shortcuts do anything other than move the value up or down? I'm asking for a few buttons that could be programmed to a 3 values- off set, gain, and exposure time. What I'm asking for is Programmable button 1 = 60 second...

Quick settings buttons

Would it be possible to add about 4 settings buttons so I can quickly change exposure, gain, and offset/brightness settings? I'd set one for unity gain, one for my NB imaging exposure/gain, one for my focus/bahtinov mask, and one for my plate solve settings. I'd put one labeled "plate sovlve" that w...

Re: Can I have multiple profiles for my hardware.

I'd like to touch on this again and ask to have multiple hardware profiles added to a future version. I have two ZWO focusers now (sold the Moonlite) and SC doesn't know the difference between the two. For example if I have one set to 10k steps and switch to the other focuser (that is around 6k step...

SC crashed twice

version 3.2.6100.0 running windows 10. ASI1600 (only the camera was hooked up...no mount/focuser etc. I told it to send the bug report when prompted. Was shooting some darks during the day and SC crashed twice. Both times I was trying to adjust the mini histogram to check for light leaking into my c...

Could you add full plate solving to SC?

I've been using All Sky though SC for a while with no trouble but I've noticed a lot of people starting out hold off on plate solving for a while because it's one more thing you have to set up/trouble shoot. Plate solving was one of the best things I set up as it made getting on target way faster. B...

Re: First timer, focusing (?) problem

I think that is part of the galaxy. Have you played with the live stack histogram? You can pull out some pretty good detail with it. Let a decent number of frames (10 or so) stack before you start adjusting it or it will change too fast. Once you get it dialed in play with the features to sharpen th...
