Re: Can I save ignored frames in Live Stack

Update..... I lowered the maximum star value to 12 and raised the minimum star value to 2. This puts a tighter limits on the stars it will accept. I only had to do this on really long exposures because the stars get blown out badly. This lowered the amount of stars it was finding and it seemed to st...

Re: Can I save ignored frames in Live Stack

I realized last night that it was dropping frames on my longer exposures. It never dropped a frame on my 10sec or 30 sec. Maybe my stars are blown out or too many stars like you said. I'll try to lower some settings and see what happens. My original problem of dropping frames after adjusting setting...

Re: Can I save ignored frames in Live Stack

I think Wikkett's method worked. I had no dropped frames after a settings change. After a while of shooting I did start dropping frames. I dropped 3 or 4 in a row. Not sure why.....the sky was clear and I didn't touch anything. It had been stacking perfectly for over an hour. I cleared the stack and...

Re: Can I save ignored frames in Live Stack

Wikkett.....I think you are correct. I did notice it seemed to start stacking on the 3rd image and only after I adjust a setting. I never dropped a frame in the other 4 hours of shooting. I plan to shoot again tonight or tomorrow....I will test your method out and report back.

Re: Can I save ignored frames in Live Stack

Thanks, perhaps i'm not doing something correctly. I noticed it drops frames when I switch a setting. For example when I went from 10 second exposures to 30 seconds on M42 last night. I was shooting 10 seconds and it didn't drop any frames. Before I went to 30 I did the following..... Pause live sta...

Can I save ignored frames in Live Stack

I've had Sharpcap ignoring frames that I suspect are usable. When it ignores them it doesn't save them. I tried to find a setting to allow it to save every frame but couldn't.

I'd like to decide later which frames are worth keeping.....is this an option. If not can you add it?

Remove of disable auto selection of file type.

Can you add a way to permanently disable the auto selection of file type? I get the idea of this but I don't know how much it helps people. For example, my camera for planets always stays on AVI and i'd like to keep my DSO camera on FITS. When I go to shoot flats my DSO camera changes to AVI or SER ...

Re: FITs file header

Currently I just add "dark" or "flat" to the end of whatever name I entered in the text box at the top so I can keep track. Not a big deal and doesn't really take up any extra time. I would love to see FITS header info added to another version of sharpcap. As well as the ability to keep individual d...

FITs file header

Is there a way to set the file naming output to a Fits Header like SGP puts out? This way PixInsight could pick up on my Dark and flat frames without me having to add them under custom settings when setting PI up to stack? Does SC put the "dark" or "flat" in the file header when I select "dark captu...

Hardware connection to only mono camera

I have a color and a mono camera. Is there a way to set the filter wheel to only connect to my 1600mm-c and not my 174mc? I always get error messages saying it couldn't connect to the filter wheel when I use my color camera. (I only use filter wheel in mono camera)
