Re: NexImage 5 - Image flips with color space change

Just confirmed the behavior. There are 3 color space options: RAW8: image orientation is normal. ROI works as expected. Moving ROI box up moves image up, etc. RGB24 and RGB32: image is flipped vertically. ROI is also flipped vertically. Moving the ROI box up moves the image down and moving the ROI b...

NexImage 5 - Image flips with color space change

A strange issue with NexImage 5. In RAW8 color space the image appears normal. But when I switch to RGB24 or RGB32 the image is flipped upside down. This also means that the ROI is backwards too. When the I move the box up the image from the camera goes down, etc. Images below And speaking of image ...

Re: Exposure times are doubled with Lodestar X2

That makes sense. Thanks for the explanation.

Maybe there should be some way of conveying this information to the user though as this can be very confusing. At least a mention in the manual (although who reads those  ).

Exposure times are doubled with Lodestar X2

I'm not sure if this is a problem with the software or the camera. I have a Lodestar X2 Mono and any exposure time I choose over 1 sec takes twice as long to show an image. So for example if I pick 2 seconds the countdown will go to 4 seconds before the image shows up. If I pick 4 seconds the countd...

Re: Zoom Feature

admin wrote: Thu Nov 23, 2017 6:12 pm Ah, yes, that's correct - I guess you must either be running a fairly low res camera or a very high res monitor!

More zoom options are actually pretty easy, so I will put this on the todo list.

cheers,

Robin
Thanks!

Re: Zoom Feature

I just tried auto zoom with the camera simulator and it appears to max out at 100%. So if I want to go bigger I still have to pick from the presets.

HDR Stacking

A great feature I used in Miloslick was HDR Stacking. The program would automatically set exposure at different levels like 2 seconds, 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 60 seconds, etc and then stack these together. This is great for objects with a bright core like M42 because you can get the edge detail witho...

Re: Zoom Feature

Along these lines I would like to see a more customizable zoom setting. With my Lodestar cam at 100% the image is kind of small but at 150% some of the image gets cut off on my laptop screen. It would be nice to be able to pick something in between.

Overlays and Drawing Tools for Broadcasters

Hi. As you may know SharpCap is used by many people to do live broadcasts on sites like Nightskiesnetwork.com There are a few features from other programs that would be helpful for broadcasters. The first is a basic drawing pen to point out objects on the image. The second would be information overl...
