Re: Time lapse capture with live view at same time

The key is to have the live view active while the saving of images is taking place into a video, the latter happening at a fairly long interval.

That way, the observer can focus on other things, like nudging the scope to keep the sun behind the occulter.

Hope that makes sense!
Cheers,
Matt

Time lapse capture with live view at same time

Hi, Apologies in advance if this is suggested or covered in a how-to elsewhere. I've searched the forum as well as Google and not hitting on anything. I'm interested in trying to find out how I can create a time lapse video while maintaining the ~live display. I was able to do this in Firecapture wi...

Re: A framerate setting question

Hi, Thank you both for your replies. I understand now better the problem. It almost sounds like a post processing step that takes the resulting video and does a binning only in the scan direction (ie horizontally) to get the desired frame rate would be what I need. Another alternative may be to do a...

A framerate setting question

Hi, I've searched the forum/manual and believe the following is not possible. But I'd like to confirm it. Specifically, I'd like to be able to set a specific exposure and framerate combo, recognizing that they would need to be "legit" to begin with (e.g. you can't have a 1ms exposure and 2...

Shutter time vs exposure interval?

Hi, I am working with a ZWO ASI174MM for some 16bit solar imaging. I'm trying to understand the timestamps as provided in the SER file, in particular as they compare to the info in the CameraSettings.txt file. What I'm wondering about is whether or not the "exposure" listed is really the i...
