Re: Crash after Camera Selection

After looking at the dump file Robin pointed me at the focuser not being connected. It was selected in the dropdown in Sharpcap settings/Hardware, but not physically connected. I deselected it and now the camera works OK and there is no crash. Strange it seemed to work in 3.1v5220 though.

Crash after Camera Selection

Version: SharpCap 3.2 v6383 Computer: Intel NUC, i5-7260U, 2.2GHz, 8GB RAM, W10 Pro 64 bit Camera: ZWO ASI224MC Program loads OK. When I select the camera the program freezes. I tried sending the bug report when asked, but nothing seems to happen. I created a 'dump' bug report by running the program...

Re: SharpCap freezes or stops working

I'm running 3.1.5125.0 at the moment. To be honest the problem seems to occur with both cameras (ZWO 224MC, Altair Hypercam 178M), although I tend to use the ZWO camera more. I'll try the upgrade at my next session.

SharpCap freezes or stops working

I seem to be having a little trouble with Sharpcap and my camera. The problems occurred in the heat of battle during imaging sessions so probably didn't get as much diagnostic information as I should, but this is basically what happens: I'm running Sharpcap 3.1, a Zwo 224C camera, new USB 3.0 cable,...

Re: Altair Sharpcap License with other cameras

No problem, I don’t mind supporting the software development and I did get 6 months free use with my Altair camera! May go for one of the new long term licenses.

Altair Sharpcap License with other cameras

Last September I bought an Altair Camera and activated the free Sharpcap Pro license. I’m getting a Zwo camera soon and wondered if it will work with my ‘Altair’ Sharpcap? If it doesn’t do I have to buy a new license?

Re: Crash with FCUSB focusser?

If I connect the camera and FW only, prior to or after starting Sharpcap, there is no problem. The problem occurs if I also add the FCUSB prior to starting Sharpcap and select the camera, I then get the white windows. If I connect the FCUSB after selecting the camera, and then go to settings, I can ...

Re: Crash with FCUSB focusser?

Sorry for not being clear. There is no problem with FW. It gave an error because it wasn't connected when I did the test. When connected the FW works fine. The camera, FW and FCUSB are in separate USB sockets in the laptop. The problem appears to be purely with the FCUSB.

Crash with FCUSB focusser?

I'm using Sharpcap Pro 3.0.4076 on a HP Touchsmart TX2 laptop (3GB, 32bit) with Windows Vista Home Premium. I have an Altair 178M camera, a Zwo filter wheel and an Shoestring FCUSB focus interface. If I have the camera, FW and FCUSB attached (separate USB sockets) and I can start Sharpcap normally. ...

Re: Filter Wheel and Exposure Integration

Dave, Thanks for the suggestion. I had looked at that post and I'm afraid it was the one where my eyes glazed over a bit! I've done a little bit of programming, but I expect the learning curve would be a little steep at the beginning. Also, how do you get an easy user interface for parameter changes...
