Re: Mount slew rate detection issue

Just to close out the issue, the 5/29/2023 version cleared up the problem. As an aside for posterity, I did find a program (SkyTrack) that included slew time estimation based on max available slew rate as part of a satellite tracking algorithm, so I ended up just putting all available mount rates in...

Re: Mount slew rate detection issue

I will retest with the new version. I actually am the author of the driver and do acknowledge that my AxisRates are not strictly ASCOM compliant. For this particular mount, the rates are selected by the handpad only, and the driver has no exposure to that (though thinking out loud, that may not actu...

Mount slew rate detection issue

Currently using 4.1.10652.0. When connecting a mount, the available rates list is empty. The log shows the following: Verbose 23:33:17.210429 #1 Mount : SharpCap.MountProxy.ASCOM.IMountInterceptionProxy.AxisRates :: Starting AxisRates(Primary) Verbose 23:33:17.255576 #1 Mount : SharpCap.MountProxy.A...

Re: Mount sync issue

Robin, Had a few hours today to run some tests. Reloading ASCOM apparently broke something with the Advanced LX200 driver such that the ASCOM Device Hub would not populate its data fields. It would still connect and I could still use device hub to talk to the mount via Sharpcap, so I went ahead with...

Re: Mount sync issue

I will work on reloading ASCOM. It looks like we have several days of clouds coming up, is there any way to inject a pre-recorded exposure into the platesolver when calling the function in Sharpcap to continue to troubleshoot? Perhaps connecting the mount with the deep sky test camera will work...an...

Mount sync issue

I have run into an issue that happens in both 4.0 and 4.1. I am using a TTS-160 mount, driven by the Advanced LX200 ASCOM driver connected via ASCOM Device Hub. The issue is when syncing, my RA and DEC coordinates get swapped in Sharpcap. Attached are screenshots and logs for 4.0. I see the same eff...

AZEQ5 and platesolve does not center the target

I was doing some hardware testing last night and decided it was time to hunt down a persistent problem. Specifically, after initial mount power-on and rough slew to Polaris prior to any alignment, platesolving with offset to center target never brings the star within the FOV. If I manually bring the...

Re: Control of SKywatcher az-eq5 in alt/az mode

Are you connecting to ASCOM via synscan pro?

Can you platesolve without sync successfully?
