Re: Problem with livestacks - dark subtraction - in EEA
During my last dark site EAA trip I had a problem that was caused by the darks. Here is my post in another topic. https://forums.sharpcap.co.uk/viewtopic.php?p=42743#p42743 I say that I've been taking darks the same but I actually did change the number of dark frames. For the past two years my stand...

Re: 183MC-Pro weirdness with SC 4.1.12025.0 (64-bit)
Robin, I must apologize because I'm terrible at doing the things that would be most helpful to you for troubleshooting the dark frame issue. I did not save any RAW frames and I did not even save a FITS stack with the histogram cut off. Next time this happens I will do both. The only thing I have wit...

Re: 183MC-Pro weirdness with SC 4.1.12025.0 (64-bit)
Even though I started this topic based on the 183MC-Pro, I'm having what I think is a similar issue with the 2600MC-Pro so I will continue here. I'm up in Darwin, CA for some dark site EAA and the past two nights have been a struggle. There are two main issues, the first being the fetching frame err...

Re: Mini-Histogram Stretch Button
Robin,
I want to thank you for the fine adjustment buttons for the color sliders. I'm up at a dark site for three nights and had my first chance to use them. They work superbly and I'm not sure how many others will benefit but I'll be using them all the time.

Re: Auto focus tool
This is a post in Cloudy Nights regarding the SC auto-focus tool that I found quite helpful.

Re: 183MC-Pro weirdness with SC 4.1.12025.0 (64-bit)
Thank you Robin. I'll those steps a try if it happens again. I'm in the garage as I type this capturing darks with the ASI2600MC-Pro which is directly connected to the laptop. I'm capturing 90 second darks and just after I started I noticed the camera fan shut off and then went back on. Not an unusu...

Re: 183MC-Pro weirdness with SC 4.1.12025.0 (64-bit)
I'm in the middle of an EAA session and the 183MC is doing it again with the same warning message in the log file. The problem is it's in the middle of a live stack. Since I don't know if I can pause the stack and close/open the camera and then restart the stack I just canceled and closed the camera...

Re: Mini-Histogram Stretch Button
Robin, Yes, I'm aware of the <SHIFT> key options. My problem is the dragging part because I only want to make a 0.1dB adjustment and usually the trackball does more than one. That is why I started using the arrow keys in hopes of making only 0.1dB adjustments but I'm having trouble with both methods...

Re: Mini-Histogram Stretch Button
The last two EAA sessions I spent a lot of time late in the stacks adjusting the color balance. My laptop with the trackball mouse (which I like) is just not ideal for making these important last minor adjustments. About every other time I try to use the 0.1dB adjustment I mess it up. Either the too...
