Re: Mini-Histogram Stretch Button
Robin, Yes, I'm aware of the <SHIFT> key options. My problem is the dragging part because I only want to make a 0.1dB adjustment and usually the trackball does more than one. That is why I started using the arrow keys in hopes of making only 0.1dB adjustments but I'm having trouble with both methods...

Re: Mini-Histogram Stretch Button
The last two EAA sessions I spent a lot of time late in the stacks adjusting the color balance. My laptop with the trackball mouse (which I like) is just not ideal for making these important last minor adjustments. About every other time I try to use the 0.1dB adjustment I mess it up. Either the too...

Re: 183MC-Pro weirdness with SC 4.1.12025.0 (64-bit)
Thank you Robin. I'm using the exact same hardware and cables with a 294MM in Unlocked Bin1 and an 2600MC pro and have not seen the problem. I would think the data transfer to be equivalent. I'll run through all the tips and see if something needs an adjustment. I am using a full USB set up. Powered...

183MC-Pro weirdness with SC 4.1.12025.0 (64-bit)
I bought a new ASI183MC-Pro a couple weeks ago and I've experienced some strange things. After opening the camera in SC and everything appearing correct it has stopped working 2-3 times. The first time I noticed this was while taking a flat frame so I disconnected and reconnected the camera and it w...

Re: Mini-Histogram Stretch Button
[thinking out loud a bit more based on the last couple EAA sessions where I spent a lot of time making final R-G-B color adjustments] The ±0.1 dB color adjustment seems to be the maximum allowable late in a stack with higher histogram stretch settings. That is, even a 0.1 dB adjustment can make an ...

Re: Mini-Histogram Stretch Button
I've been paying more attention to the mini-histogram the last couple of nights (actually the first clear nights in three weeks). Something that I was not regularly doing until I started using the ±0.1dB changes in the live stack histogram by clicking on the slider and using the up-down arrow keys. ...

Re: Mini-Histogram Stretch Button
With all this discussion so far I'm still not sure if the Mini-Histogram can be a final adjustment measurement tool. I've reached my "level of detail" limit visually using the laptop image and Live Stack Histogram. That is, I'm not able to discern which final 0.1dB R-G-B adjustments best a...

Re: Mini-Histogram Stretch Button
When doing DSO live stacking with an OSC camera and using the Live Stack Histogram it can be difficult to see the fine adjustments to RGB, especially when using the ±0.1dB changes. With Lock Stretch ON the Mini-Histogram RGB curves can provide a better visual for fine adjustments but it's a fairly ...

Re: Deep Sky Image Annotation (Not Responding)
Robin, Thank you for the reply. I'm attaching a screen snip of the Annotation Catalogs. It looks like I need to delete the HyperLeda18 and PGC-Mag18 files as they must really consume processing. Image annotation did take a few seconds to come up when using it with narrower fields but I did not think...
