Re: Why is the left side of my live stack so bright?
Thx for the info. A Flextube. You definitely need a so called light shroud. Check here pls as an example https://astrozap.com/collections/light-shrouds/products/sky-watcher-light-shroud Unfortunately, all of them start with 8". But, I'm pretty sure you can DIY or get one custom made by your loc...

Re: Why is the left side of my live stack so bright?
Hi, it looks to me for a light leak or straylight. From the provided picture I can see that the cam is a ASI294MC. I also noticed a strong drift and field rotation in the stacked image and that you do not save single images. Looking into the single files could help to detect, whether this illuminati...

Re: Live Stack Failure all of a sudden
Hi, let me jump on this train. I did experience the same problem with my new Altair Hypercam 294C Pro and the Beta v4.1.10872.0 I wanted to capture 120s frames in Livestack but after the first frame all others were dropped. I did exactly what you did and changed to 60s. This was on 7.7. - 8.7. Unfor...

Robin, thanks a lot for the clarification.
I'll ask Smart Histogram first. I'm curious to see the outcome.

Settings for Hypercam 294c (fan cooled)
Hi, I got a Hypercam 294C today and wantto make sure to start with the proper settings. I used this forum and other sources but still confused regarding the GAIN setting. The sensor analysis gave me this: Screenshot 2023-06-20 190052.jpg I assume 450 is the so called unity gain and 900 switches on H...

Re: some strange behaviours...
Robin, thanks for your attention. I can't remember where to find the log files. (...user/apps/...or so ?), but going to look for it. I know from my excursion in Allsky that the ASI120MC-s sometimes can do weird things, especially in rapidly changing conditions. Regarding the last point, the sequence...

some strange behaviours...
Robin, last night, I did an update from 4.1.10745.0 (64bit) to 4.1.1ß790.0 (64bit) to run some tests. While using the stretch function in Histogram (right hand window), the programm stalled. I was in a remote session (Windows remote desktop, both with the latest Win10 64bit). I had to quit the sessi...

some minor adjustments to the GUI
Hi Robin, may I suggest a small change in the Telescope Control frame ? Is it possible to align the content with the left edge of the frame ? The buttons and select boxes are squeezed on the right edge, making it difficult to access when one uses a touchscreen (on the Smartphone or Tablet) using Rem...
