Re: Additional live-stacking filters
Yeah, I think the roundness and inverse sky brightness filters would really round things out for those of us in windy, variable, and light poluted conditions. Robin - the brightness filter needs both upper and lower limits - to filter frames above or below a set value. In dark skies, clouds are dar...

Re: Polar Alignment & Plate solving
+1 I do not have NCP/Polaris visibility from nearly any of the places I typically observe from. When I use SharpCap, I first do polar alignment using ASIAIR's all sky polar alignment. Can this feature not be incorporated into SharpCap? I much prefer not to use ASIAIR just for polar alignment, and th...

Re: New Feature : Planetary Live Stacking
Love the feature! Very well done and very performant on even a fairly slow computer! Captured and processed input of 320x240 at 200fps and displayed stack at 60fps - which is way more than required for the slow rate of change of the image. Very important improvement is to allow saving timelapse at a...

Re: New Feature : Planetary Live Stacking
Did you turn up some of the levels in the wavelet sharpening section? They start at default (no sharpening). I've tried moving the sharpening controls and they have no effect on what I see. I set them over to the right which should completely mess up the image but nothing happened. It looks like I'...

Re: Supporting RAW formats from newer Cameras
I too have the challenge @blavenn has - and have a Canon R7 camera. APT just added support for this new camera (as of version 4.0.6), but as @admin said, ASCOM driver has not been updated for Canon cameras in 2 years. The files are 32MP and in TIFF could easily become ~200MB each. And since I'm some...

Re: Trying to get better view of results
Thanks for the tips. I will try. When you say 'boost saturation', how do you mean? Also, is there a way to reprocess the raw .cr2 frames (my DSLR ASCOM saved these originals, but I don't see how to have SharpCap read them without converting them to TIFF, no longer raw...).

Re: Trying to get better view of results
Robin, thanks for response. Yes, I have tried stretching on both histograms stack and display. This screenshot is the result after those stretches produced the best results I could get on screen… incidentally, in the second post processed image, after stretching levels, the filters I’ve done in phot...

Trying to get better view of results
I'm fairly new to EAA and to SharpCap Pro. However, my desire is to get as close as possible to the results of astrophotography - but not with hours of post processing, instead, to see it live in the field with EAA using SharpCap Pro. What has been frustrating for me is that the same raw data (saved...
