Re: Question on two-monitor view

I got the image (only) on the big monitor and the image and controls on my laptop like I wanted (thanks for the tip). However... now I can't figure out how to make the image on the big monitor the same size as the desktop monitor's image when I zoom in. For example, if I zoom into the image on the d...

Question on two-monitor view

Robin, I just purchased a large additional monitor (27" screen) for doing EAA. I will be using it for public outreach. I plugged in the monitor to my laptop and selected "two monitor view" in Sharpcap. Both screens (my laptop and the new monitor screen) show both the image and Sharpca...

Re: Color absent in solar flares- assistance requested

Thanks. I used to be able to get color images instantly in Pixinsight just by opening a raw file- no debayering needed (up until today)... Any idea why I now need to debayer? Not sure what suddenly changed.

Color absent in solar flares- assistance requested

I took this eclipse image during totality, and am having trouble bringing out any color in the solar flares or anywhere else in the image. It appears to be strictly black and white. I have included links to the FITS file, my finished image in Pixinsight and the Sharpcap capture file below. Any assis...

Re: Sequencer question (as it relates to solar imaging)

Thanks Robin - I will run the sequence again today using the live view. And that makes perfect sense why my EQ6 wouldn't track the sun; as you said I didn't do a polar alignment since I set up in the daytime. Thanks again, I appreciate it!

Re: Sequencer question (as it relates to solar imaging)

Thanks - I think I see what I did wrong. In my sequence, I used "capture still frames" instead of "capture live view frames." If I change all of these entries to "capture live view frames" do you think I will be able to move the target to the center of the screen during...

Sequencer question (as it relates to solar imaging)

I am using the sequencer to program in a series of steps to capture a solar eclipse. I found that during the middle of the sequence my target (the sun) starts to stray from the middle of the screen, even though the tracking in EQMOD is set to solar. When I try to move the target back to the middle o...

Re: Mount choice for C11 Edge - Sharpcap compatibility

Robin, another related question. For whatever mount I buy I will need to enter its settings into the hardware set-up tab in Sharpcap. Will Sharpcap remember these settings every time I connect the mount? Can I switch between my EQ6-R-Pro and the new mount without going into the hardware tab every ti...
