Re: Ghost image alignment
Indeed! Thank you for giving it a think. It could just be an additional option in the reticule menu to launch an explorer window and pick your file...You could perhaps flag a warning if the aspect ratio is different from you current capture settings, but most of the time the user will be opening a f...

Re: Ghost image alignment
Just bumping this thread as it seems like something programmatically straightforward to implement and can be incredibly helpful. The widely used Star Adventurer is not a Goto mount hence the awesome plate solving workflow is not applicable. When you're shooting the same target over multiple nights t...

Re: QHY268C: Multiple resolutions
Hi there Robin sorry to dig up an old questionbut Antares is setting and it's time to start processing all these! The other day I wanted shoot dark frames to correlate with the 6280 x 4210 images captured during the live stacking session...To my surprise that resolution isn't even on the menu! There...

Re: Ghost image alignment
I definitely second this, I have the sky watcher pro hence no GOTO abilities... In Backyard EOS there was a great and simple way to load an image from disk and adjust it's transparency while the live image was underneath...Seems like it would be simple functionality to add and makes all the differen...

Live Stack Resume Add Already Shot Images
Imaging right now with Live Stack, it's truly a wonderful thing, but twice now I have been booted and had to restart the live stack session (both were pilot error on my part closing the program instead of minimizing).. When you have 10 frames it's a bummer to start again and loose the accumulation o...

Re: QHY268C: Multiple resolutions
Thanks ! The Rho Ophiuchus is really amazing and here in New Zealand it's at zenith as opposed to Los Angeles where I'm from in which it only gets 30ish degrees above the horizon.... I'm embarrassed now yes the "Force Still Mode" is clearly there! I guess in the excitement of getting what ...

Re: QHY268C: Multiple resolutions
I did all my test shots at Raw16 but once I was happy with framing and focus I began Live Stack. Now I'm nervous that Live Stack forced a different mode? Here's a screen grab of my session last night but unfortunately the color space menu is just off screen manakau_rho_WIP.PNG Also here's the camera...

Optolong L-Enhance Halo on bright stars?
Hello all, not specifically related to Sharpcap but wanted to see if this is normal of light pollution filters or if I got a lemon? I'm imaging the beautiful Rho Ophiuchus region from my Bortle 5 backyard and Antares has this ugly non-concentric glow around it. My guess is that it's internal reflect...

Re: QHY268C: Multiple resolutions
Hi there Robin thanks for the response! I got back to imaging a couple nights ago and was pleasantly surprised to see a "There's a new version..." splash screen upon loading SC. I might be crazy but I didn't see "Force Still Mode" anymore in this new version? Either way I seemed ...

QHY268C: Multiple resolutions
Hi there all this is my first post here. I had initially purchased SharpCap just for the polar alignment (which is working super well for me) but recently transitioned from DSLR to the QHY268C hence now using SharpCap for imaging as well... Having come from Backyard EOS there are a few interface sug...
