Height and/or Width Zoom

A feature I would find useful is in addition to the 'Auto' choice in the zoom drop down list there is also a 'Width' and 'Height' choice that automatically sizes the view window to fit the width or height of the sensor to the available viewing space. For example, I have a ASI533MC camera with a squa...

Very Minor GUI Nit

Hi Robin! Since SharpCap 4.1is in final polishing mode, thought I would bring up a very minor GUI nit I have seen for awhile. Hopefully easy to fix. At the very bottom of the SharpCap window when opened, there is an info strip that has 3 sections at the left: 1st starts with 'Previewing:', 2nd with ...

Temperature Units choice

Any chance displayed temperature units could be a choice between Celsius or Fahrenheit - maybe in the 'SharpCap Settings' -> 'Hardware' page? I would personally prefer Fahrenheit. Thanks for considering.

Re: Plate solve error with new driver Ioptron CEM120

Sure,

SharpCap 4.0.9357 64 bit

Ioptron Commander 8.00

The Ioptron commander installer installs the ASCOM driver for it - here is the link to the installer I used:

Re: Plate solve error with new driver Ioptron CEM120

Hi Robin, FWIW - I am using the latest SharpCap and ASCOM 6.6SP1 with an Ioptron CEM26 and the Ioptron Commander 8.0 software on Windows 11 with no issues. However, I just got this setup, and never used previous versions of Commander, or used its driver in other software until now. I wonder if there...

Re: Capture flats not working correctly

Arghh! I had 'Gradient Removal' turned on in 'Background Subtraction'. Turning that off cured the problem.. sorry for the noise.

Capture flats not working correctly

I am trying to create a flat with the latest version of Sharpcap on Windows 11. Using a ZWO ASI183MC camera at 75 gain and 450ms. Also using a PegasusAstro Flatmaster for light source. When I start Sharpcap with these settings and the light on, it looks like this: Start1.png When I open the 'Capture...

Night Vision Colours trouble

Hi Robin, Tried the new night vision colour template and it looks good for out in the dark, but lately I've been an armchair astronomer and decided (at least inside) I like the original views. After trying the new view, I switched back to the original and found that the title bars of the Camera Cont...

Syntheic Bias for flats?

Hi Robin, Just read an intriguing article on the Siril website here: https://siril.org/2021/12/enough-with-dark-flats/ about using a constant instead of a dark or bias image with flat frames. Was wondering if this is something that can be added to the 'Capture Flat Frame' routine - say 'Capture and ...
